What I'm hoping is that this "VR doax3" is actually the ultimate doax3 we've wanted but with much improved VR options in it and the other girls etc. I hope it is anyway!

We've finally got some kind of news! Now I just hope it isn't an exclusively VR game or something.

Well If it's a completely new "version" then surely that means game. So surely If they want it to sell they'd need differences between it and the original doax3 besides a new vr system? So hopefully that means they'd -

1. Make it not VR exclusive so that it's accessible to as many people as possible.

2. Include the other girls and new mini games etc so that people want it.

I guess we'll have to see but who knows when we'll see game play of it and stuff.

They need to make the VR also look less creepy, the girls imo look hideous up close and uncanny, like they weren't meant to be seen that close

They also need to bring back accessories and add every girl instead of who was most popular. They might as well add Naotora in too since Momiji is in the game and she came from NG. I remember in Sexy beach 2 for example they added Maria from Des Blood VR and she wasn't an original from the series, Des Blood VR is a different game from Illusion

The VR mode was rushed anyway.
If it is a separate game it better let us import our save file.
Better if it's a patch/dlc.

Don't know if a separate game would be worth it. VR alone won't sell especially since it would most likely be Asian exclusive.
However if they did add the missing features and characters that would raise interest.
Oh and they need to fix the feet and the hair. Most notably Kokoro, Helena and Kasumi.

@KasumiLover69 Mai would be a awesome guest character.
Not bashing on Naotora though.

I actually wouldn't mind her too, I didn't mention her because although Mai is already pretty raunchy I'm not sure SNK would want her in a beach game like X3. And yeah they need to bring back the DOA4 longer thicker hair for those three and update it for them, I hate Kasumi's loose hair bar in a few outfits when my long hair fetish kicks in

I think they'd only consider a new game (udoax3) If it included the other girls etc along with the VR to make people interested in it. And yeah they'd surely let us import saves like doa5 did. I don't know how a patch/dlc would work depending on how much it changed the game.

Either way I'm looking forward to seeing more about it. Maybe they realized the dlc could sell well after the SK dlc or something and went back to the drawing board for dlc plans and came up with this?

Well, this either means they are just making an even more bare bones version of the game that is solely for VR, or that we're actually getting an "ultimate" version. Of course, I very much hope it's the latter, but I wouldn't celebrate just yet until we have more info.

I kind of think we might be getting an ultimate version. :D :D :D :D

If it really is a new version with extra stuff then whether its "VR Required" or just "VR Compatible" will be a make or brake for me.

I have no interest in VR in the first place, I especially don't have interest in spending around £400 to get PSVR either.

But yeah best case scenario for me would be a whole new version with extra content like more games and characters and only VR compatible not VR required.

I think that's what we're all hoping for that its not exclusive to VR and that its an Ultimate version with new content. I guess we'll just have to wait until they reveal it though whenever that is? Maybe we'll see it in famitsu.

@Jadeinchains they should call it DOAX3 Artemis. I mean there is Fortune and Venus edition. So it would make sense because that is Lisa's swimsuit with the feather.

A guest character would be cool too.

Maybe this will be revealed with Venus Vacation. I seriously want to know more about that game or if it got cancelled.

About VR, those are expensive so a VR only DOAX game would not sell well.

Of course I'm not holding my breath in any of this. TN is known to disappoint.

Yeah I really don't see it being VR exclusive since It can sell to more people If it's not. And yeah Artemis would be a good name for it! :D wonder too when we will see anything of Venus since they showed that one trailer and that was it. Destruction Bomb said there isn't a festival happening this year so It won't be announced at that but I'd think it would be revealed soon or something so who knows when we'll see it.

If they do announce that this VR version is the ultimate thing your really gonna have your work cut out for you with the new things it will add! :D

I'm guessing either Summer or in September at the TGS is when we'll see something about it.

I don't mean to sound like a pessimist but I don't think this game is getting updated or re-released at all. If that were the case, it would be in their interest to trickle out DLC at least every couple of months to maintain some degree of interest in the game. Instead, we get dead silence. They haven't even added a few of the easier-to-develop fan requests such as high heels for the stripper pole, gravure/activity swap, some kind of bare bones online versus mode, those kinds of things. Sadly, I think support for this game is done, VR or otherwise. Nioh and DOA5LR are the moneymakers for TN at this point.

That's probably the more realistic view to be honest. It's a shame that the way things went that this game didn't get more support, though it did still actually get quite a bit. I think they should have done the psn dlc rather than the premium tickets thing. Still I'll keep hope that this "VR version" is an updated version but who knows?

It was some profit thing and what the company is working on. It was from "Niko Partners industry analyst Daniel Ahmad". Apparently It only came out recently since it mentioned Nioh's sells being over 2 million in it's first two weeks. What it said about doax3 was this -

"Koei Tecmo is also making a VR version of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 and some VR arcade hardware."

So If it was up to date and correct then it seems they are working on a new version of doa3 with VR. What that means exactly we don't know.
