So they tried to alienate the primary audience of the series (for the second time, because it worked so well for 5 vanilla) while simultaneously making the gameplay more braindead than before.
Am I witnessing TN slamming a rusty nail into their own dick? Who are they selling this to?

I'm not really sure what you're referring to with vanilla 5 alienating players, but then again that came out soon after I left the military, so those early years are kind of a blur to me for....well, it was a blur as I later found out I have PTSD. Certainly wasn't a highlight.

As for the meter thing. I'll hold judgement for when we see more of it. I'm sure the auto combos will be very unsafe and the meter hold probably will be easy to see. I'm gonna take a wild guess that it has a unique animation based on the trailer. Jann Lee was stunned then did his taunt animation that is also a hold. I'm assuming that was the break hold and I'm willing to bet getting thrown during that probably causes a lot of damage making it a big risk.

Again, I'm not a fan of the idea, but if its like metere'd abilities popping up in other fighters, its probably fine and easy to counter.

Doa5 engine ?

Its probably safe to assume its a beefed up version of the soft engine or whatever its called.

Some are already complaining the models look/are the same. They are actually improved. The men feature tons more polygons and better textures. It just looks a little like plastic and too shiny right now. Nothing they can fix though. In Team Ninja I trust to actually improve upon the visuals till release.

Jahn Lee found dead. The characters are looking so good and seriously that new DOA6 tournament arena is incredible looking, So futuristic and bright yet also grandiose and classical.

he's referring to 5 cutting down on sexualization, apparently they're doing it for 6 as well but we'll see how long they stick to that.

I can't really get hyped about this at all, and reading about these new mechanics has me even less interested honestly. Its just not Dead or Alive even the stages don't look like DOA stages...

Ihope TN show something to change my mind or I might actually sit this one out.

I think the addition of metered holds/combos is good, especially for beginning players. It probably looks flashy and amazing and is simple to implement into gameplay. I know if I was picking this game up for the first and found it hard, that would make the game more accessible and visually entertaining. And as someone said earlier, with seasoned players it probably won't be easy to pull off.

Wow everyone saying they weren't gonna reveal DOA6 at/before E3. Can't complain now since TGS gotta show more by then.

Hmmm they used the same bow on Helena from 5 again.

I'm gonna think a February/March release

Regarding them wanting to again cut down on sexualization:
I'm pretty sure they'll have plenty of that as DLC again. ;) First cater to newcomers (by not scaring them away) and hardcore DOA fans/players who would buy the game anyway and then later bring out all the fan service that another significant group of DOA fans is willing to pay a lot for and for years.

True, and nice gif. :) Also can I just say these first outfits of Helena and Kasumi we've seen are gorgeous, Like Helena and Kasumi look so good. :D

Also I've noticed a lot of people returning that I haven't seen in a long time on the forums so welcome back everyone! :D
