So apparently the DOA6 demo is running on PC

Correct me if I'm wrong but are those not Steam Controller icons? Everyone panicking about the PC version being lackluster can put their fears to waste: PC version is front and center! Here's a clip of the segment: https://clips.twitch.tv/BenevolentShortLocustTBCheesePull

I'll definitely be getting a copy for PS4 and PC so I can have the best of both communities. Even better if they follow Capcom's example and give us cross platform support between the two.

I'll definitely get a copy on PC, will see further reveals how appealing it sounds to buy on 2 devices...
What I can't justify this time is overpriced DLC, no matter how great the game will be, I won't be spending hundreds of $$$/€€€ on the game like I did on DOA5 (the dlc can't be as expensive as it is this time around for that to happen) :E

I don't think there is any need to worry as the PC version is simultaneously developed with the console versions and as it will release simultaneously with console versions. This is going completely different than DOA5.
In fact, I'm actually more worried for console versions if this is going the same route as Tekken 7 and Soul Calibur 6. These games are optimized for beefy PCs, all the fancy footage is from PC and only relatively late have we seen that the console version are the downgraded versions. Worse, resolution, worse graphics, worse load times.
I hope Team Ninja is reminded that the Playstation and Xbox are the platforms that made the franchise what it is today and that the by far biggest community is to be found there.

It would be a grave mistake for them to mistreat consoles in this manner. For those of us fortunate enough to have beefy rigs as well as console it wouldn't be a big deal, but it would be huge marks against them to indulge in that sort of negligence.

Well, it seems to work for Bandai Namco (Tekken and Soul Calibur).

I guess we just have to hope that isn't the route they've chosen. Financially the numbers should speak for themselves but... You're right Bandai Namco pulled it and didn't get burned on sales for it.

Its no different than how it was back in the day with versus fighting. Dead or Alive originally was on Sega's Model 2 and the 5th generation's Sega Saturn and Sony PlayStation versions were even lucky to come remotely close. It was when Team Ninja decided to go console exclusive from Arcade (the first versus fighting franchise to do so that would be mimicked many years later unfortunately with i.e Soul Calibur III, Street Fighter V etc) to Xbox, however it was because at the time the Xbox was very high level to the point that Sega adopted its tech into the Chihiro board (with MUCH more RAM).
The PS4 and Xbox One are sub par PCs (emulating Nintendo's model with Wii, worked wonders for Sony, 80 million+) and PC has emerged due to "performance" but in reality, piracy and free online.

I'm interested in when are they going to announce a JPN Arcade version.

It's been a long time since I posted here and I've seen that I was right about everything by the way since 2012. A new community emerged (very WWE New generation like), the Japanese killed everyone on a consistent basis and elevated the game to a higher level especially when Dead or Alive returned to Arcade. For the few years with this new community, on stream I'm hearing people talk about movement, frames, its great. Tom Lee did a phenomenal job.

Dead or Alive 6 seems to currently be throwing everybody under the bus. Generally competitors hate the meter at this point and more apparently mostly everyone hates the direction of the females. Not all females are created equal. Gaming is fantasy based off reality.

"Violence. Entertainment. Beauty. Sex. Gambling. Gambling means that if people really like playing the game, then they'll pay whatever it costs. And that's all." - creator Tomonobu Itagaki on G4's Icons.

All they needed to was have i.e. outfits C1 - C5 be sanctioned approved by tournament organizers and broadcasters i.e. ESPN, ESL, Red Bull, EVO, etc before release while retaining remnants of the Soft Engine for the females to simulate realistic bounce physics. Trust that they're gonna look very closely at this October's Soulcalibur VI for reactions and truth telling.

Amusing (frustrating?) times are ahead.
