News Dead or Alive 6 Release Delayed 2 Weeks

DOA6 Delay.jpg

Team NINJA has announced that Dead or Alive 6 has been delayed from February 15th to March 1st this year. This means that Winter Brawl: 3D Edition has been canceled as DOA6s premier tournament. The time will likely be used to add even more polish to the game, and this delay also presents a better release window for the FGC.

We will keep you posted here at FSD with all new information pertaining to this, and also be sure to follow Team NINJA Studio and the Official Game on Twitter for more updates.

Seeing how it hasn't even been a year since the game was announced, a 2 week delay isnt really too long.i hope this means no multi-GB day 1 patch but lets just see.
If anything the delay could be used to ensure a day one patch is ready for release. The game has to go gold master weeks before the scheduled street date, so it makes sense to prepare a day one patch in the mean time to polish things even more.

As for the delay I'm cool with it. February, and Feb. 15th in particular is going to be very busy gaming wise (such as Jump Force, Crackdown 3, etc.).

Yeah… a 2-week delay basically means the Day 1 patch will be bigger :p

I also think this is an attempt to move the game to a less competitive release week. While DMC5 is only one week later, DOA6 is at least the only really notable game in the first week of March. Compared to the old slot where it released alongside Jump Force, Far Cry, Metro, Crackdown… and other major releases before and after.

Only sucks for the tournaments that had DOA6 in the lineup… Ark Evo EVO Japan on Launch Day and WB 3D (which has only 2 3D games now lol) I guess TN could provide Demo builds, doesn't really matter if people use their Day 1 or Beta strats XD

March must be a month for DOA games since this game and DOAX3 Scarlet (unless that got delayed too) are going to be released at the same month. Looking forward to giving feedback for the downloadable content for DOA6.

What is expressivity suppose to mean?

blew all the kasumi coins i had saved up for the game during that rough transition week between 2018 and 2019 anyway sooo delay away kt perry. haha. (happy broke new year y'all) :p

just wish whoever translated what lil shimshim was saying didn't add the "i'm sorry" part at the end. meh. i know it's standard public relations stuff to apologize for an inconvenience but they should've rode that retail trick where you feed the customer's ego to offset their frustration. the 'in return for your patience' line was the perfect setup for that. i mean from what he's saying the delay is ultimately in our best interest as customers. ah well.

not sure myself but balance and gameplay refers to how the game functions so expressivity in this context probs refers to the game's visual aesthetic. :)

Expressivity pertains to what Dead or Alive 6 is trying to "express", i.e. what the game experience is communicating and relaying to its audience. Or in a way, what Team Ninja is communicating to its audience through the gameplay experience.

Think of DOA6 as a form of art communicating a message to its gamers.

Looks like I've learned something. By that explanation DOA6 would be more of a mainstream game, while keeping some elements from DOA.

Oh, yeah. Those are big hitters. Though not sure if SC6 releasing around RDR2 did much to its sales than it already would have. You gotta wonder. Know your audience but remember they play other games I'd say. I'm only really looking at Control by Remedy and The Division 2. (Maybe) I got into it late when it was 20 dollars but I liked it.
