I'll ask Rev and see if Weekends are okay. Honestly, I'm surprised that he didn't put these on weekends, but I suppose the place might be busy for weekends or maybe kids these days actually study on weekends.

Some news from Rev:
Yeah, I know him and I can do it over the weekends after the one on monday. It will probably be on a Saturday though.

We're still not sure if this is going to be a weekly or a monthly yet, so we'll keep you updated.

I just wanted to remind you people that we're still going with the gathering tomorrow. Bring in some change too just in case.

Thanks for coming, everyone. We ended up playing more SCIV than DOA4 probably because DOA4 doesn't even play like a competitive game at all. It's more like a really loose DOA2 with pretty graphics and more moves for characters. Really bad for competitive gameplay.

Bass is now a shitty gimmicky character with half of his moves being useless. The new animations for the attacks are shit like some warner bros. cartoon, especially for Bass. Non of his ground throws connected. It doesn't feel like either DOA2 or 3 Bass at all. I swear someone in TN really hated Bass and I'm pretty sure it was Itagaki who made him this shit. Nothing in this game seems solid. Very very casual fighting game.

I'll bring in my own Xbox so that we can play more doa3 instead of shitty doa4.

Also, bring in your own Xbox and 360 controllers in case you're coming over. We might even play some Virtua Fighter too (Version B).

edit: Wah, could you change the title to 'London Casual Gathering: Walthamston Versus'?

^^ Now you sound like that sweet bro and hella jeff comic.

The only reason I agreed to playing doa4 in the casuals was because of the upcoming Yorkshire carnage and DOA5.

I would not own this game. No sir.

I only have one xbox and one game which is doa3 and that's hella worth the money I paid for it.

DOA 4 is utter trash. It did have really good money for a while though. I stopped playing it after CGS season 2.

If there is one thing that DOA 4 does positively its that it teaches you very high level yomi if you get to the top of the playing field. Completely mindfucking someone is the ONLY way to win consistently, and when the options for attacking are as bad as they are you have to really, really, really mindfuck people.

Unfortunately when yomi is 90% of the gameplay, it really doesn't make for an interesting game. In theory it should, but it just doesn't for most people.

If I wanted to play mind games I would've gone into SF instead. Really, if that's what most of the game is gonna be, then people mind as well sandbag all the time.

In other news, I should be able to get the Xbox ready for DOA 3.1 next week.

I'm not gonna make it because of Hypespotting, but Rev said he's gonna hold another one in two weeks after the first gathering.
