Pokerking87 don't post here anymore, at least it's been QUITE awhile since I last saw a post or upload from him here. On Youtube he's Queen Jakheiko. If his vids don't give you or him Christie ideas then I've no idea what will.

Thanks for the suggestions Randzz and guys! Christie's JAK is like a fine wine. It must be savoured and downed correctly. I will give a slight hint, that JAK stance doesn't hurt Ayane at all from neutral or range (though it does have its spots). Don't mind Awesmic, he's apparently still a "beginner".

If he's interested in Christie he might wanna take a gander at Pokerking87s replays. Awesmic is also someone he might want to speak to. Use the Jak more, that stance practically screams, "Use me for mind games". He'd also be surprised at how easily it is to cancel some of her moves right into throws, particularly the neutral one.

Has he seen this 40 minute video? Definitely the most impressive combo video out there for DOA!

Not trying to be that guy but my vanilla Christie guide is still mostly relevant. If something in it or about Christie doesn't make sense anybody feel free to let me know.

That's exactly what I think has been holding him back from leveling up even faster is that he needs to learn Christie's tech and juggles. I'm shit with Christie so I can't teach him any tech, and the only other Christie player in our scene moved to Ottawa. I've gone over the frames of Christie's initial pokes, and some moves to use in close or at range (For example I love Christie's 4K, 2H+K & H+K, 6P and 1K to a lesser extent). But I think I may need to look over Christie's Stun Level 1, Level 2 & Level 3 stun-launch options to level up his Christie. It was very busy yesterday for DoA5U so I didn't get too much 1-on-1 time with him. However, he has a good mind for the game and is the best IMHO of the new lot. He makes pretty good reads at times.

Christie's 3P+K~T is also brutal in corners now (though I tend to duck the throw on reaction, especially after 2H+K~T)

He has that down pretty well it's actually been ages since I've actually seen anyone use her side step and I have no clue why. yeah he pretty much just needs to get used to our stun says them and maximize his damage potential

Alright, thanks for the tips Russian. Christie does take quite a while to get used to due to her myriad of tools and options. He's mostly been focusing on poking and movement (he's coming from a Tekken background).

hes neutral game is pretty good, he needs to stop going for those high risk, low payoff moves though. so far i don't think he understands you're supposed to juggle in this game as i keep seeing him put you into a deep stun then just knock his opponent away. i would also recommend you remind him that Christie has other options from her roll, her throw for instance would have proved useful in this match.
