    it's just a GIF that fits XenForo's size requirements, use FileOptimizer on any image to reduce their size without losing quality and pray they will be small enough before the upload

    nah JPG can't animate, it's a GIF with its file name renamed to JPG by either the uploader or the upload system, browsers see it animated because they're smart, save it on your Desktop open with Notepad and read the beginning of the file which says "GIF89a"
