  • kinda disappointing that Bayo 3 gives you no reward for completing the higher difficulties or achieving pure platinum rankings, you can literally unlock everything from a single normal mode playthrough, it's convenient, but i dun like it :/
dam, I didn't know Calistro Protocall was Dead Space but with perfect dodges, now the game sounds way more interesting

I finished it the other day. Was ehhhhhhhhh but it's not at all bad and the combat is iffy. I'll let you play it out so that you can take on the experience yourself.
For anyone who's beaten Master Ninja on both vanilla NG2 and NG2S, would you say one is harder than the other or that they're both equally as hard?

@Force_of_Nature Yeah xD. Funny enough, the last time I played OGNG2 was the completion of MN. I was pretty happy about completing OGNG2 MN because you not only get an outfit, but you also get an exclusive Xbox avatar for doing it on Xbox 360. UT abuse, animation invincibility in UT was my cheese to victory lololololol, was both stressful due to game instability but it was super fun etc.

So if I really want to test my mettle I should just go for MN on vanilla NG2, got it,

it's funny, after beating MN in NG2 once 10 years ago I said i would NEVER touch that mode again with all of it's bullshit, but i've been craving borderline unfair difficulty modes lately, and what better way to scratch that itch by playing a broken and unfinished mess like NG2 lol

I take it you'd rather play Halo 3 on Legendary instead.
seems like every year we get at least 1 slice of life anime starring a girl with social anxiety that viewers flock to because "she just like me frfr"

Seems that every year, a lot of fatalities from vehicle related incidents sky rocket in the world of anime. Unfortunately, no one told them to look both ways before crossing the street! Victims have been sent to another world either Celestia or the Netherworld as penguins that can be used as explosives when thrown on impact.

Stay tuned for "Truck-Kun's 200%" and "The Day I Reincarnated As A Prinny!"

Remember when mecha anime were a dime a dozen, and isekai anime happened so rarely that even US cartoons did it more frequently by comparison??

    Pepperidge Farm remembers.

ah, that early 2000 mecha boom, Gundam Seed, Big O, Vandread, fun times
while it's way too early to speculate about this DOA reboot, fingers crossed they take this opportunity to fix some fundamental fuckery that's been plaguing this series for years, as opposed to just remaking the same ol' tosh with prettier graphics
Samurai Maiden, the game you play because there hasn't been a proper Senran Kagura game in 6 years :/

So, now that the game has been out for a while seems like it ended up being pretty bad. I hate that I pretty much called it with just the trailers alone.

Meh, its aight. I did enjoy it though I just wish the combat felt more fluid. It took them a while to patch the Switch version, where you were pretty much stuck in attacking in one direction regardless if you locked on or not. It was surprisingly pretty challenging.

Ngl difficulty spikes in D3 games irk me, its like whole time you're enjoying some chill fanservice anime game you can pretty much play with your brain turned off and then bam, sudden difficulty increase and now; you gotta engage with mechanics, you gotta watch for enemy tells, you got be mindful of your health, like with? SGZH did it, Onechambara did it, multiple d3 games do it and its annoying every time :/
Too many Pokemon this gen look like furry deviant art oc's, I dun like it :/

I think it's because too many of the evolved forms have them stand up on their hind legs. Ironically, there's a trend of artists drawing them with them standing on all fours. I've even seen some vtubers playing the game that keep saying "don't stand up, don't stand up" when their pokemon evolve, lmao.

honestly there are plenty of pokemon that are bipedal that look fine, (Charizard, Typhlosion, Raichu, Haunter), it's just the one's that are bipedal and have way too many human characteristics is when things get weird (Lopunny, Incineroar, Mawile)

hell I even went with Fuecoco in Scarlet/Violet mostly cause it's the only starter who's final evolution isn't complete anthropomorphic nightmare fuel

Bold of Gamefreak to give us a borderline yandere girl as a Pokemon rival, but i'll take her over all the friendly rivals we've been getting lately
welp, hope I still give a dam about DOA and NG by the time they come back around, also nice changes to the site

Given TN's track record on how they handle most of their games I'd say that NG might have a chance to do well in the near future, DOA on the other hand, well, they might double down on certain aspects of the series that they introduced around/after 5 Last Round, which I feel might end up polarizing the fanbase even further but we'll see, too soon to even speculate about these "reboots".
Its hilarious that Ninja Gaiden and Bayonetta have pretty much followed the same pattern when it comes to weapon variety and movesets

1st game established the standard and had the best balance between movelist length and weapon variety

2nd game added a crapton of new weapons with bigger movelists that were so niche that it was almost intimidating

3rd game has weapons with the most expensive movelists, but the weapons are so homogenized you can pretty much get through the game with only 1 or 2 of them
While I am enjoying Frontiers the sheer amount of pop in is unforgivable, especially on current gen hardware , what is Sonic just too fast for modern technology to keep up???

If you talking about the pop on the cutscenes, yeah I'm going to test Frontiers on the PS5 next month, just to check if it happening on other consoles.

Im talking more during gameplay, specifically during the open zone sections where there's just pop in everywhere, some graphical some objects but it really does ruin the experience

and this is me playing on PC, I shudder to think how this performs on console, though i've seen that console has a performance mode so maybe that solves it but i;m just flabbergasted this kind of thing is happening on current hardware

I'm also playing on PC and I'm not noticing the popping as much with maxed out settings. I played on another rig I own with less impressive specs, and it was a BAD experience.
Bayo sequels have this weird thing where the combat gets better and more refined with each installment but they completely drop the ball in some other random aspect, and Bayo 3 is no different

you dont think the Demon Slave mechanic is an evolution of the Wicked Weave? going from demon summons being relegated to combo fillers to being able to fully control your summons (and in some cases operate both it and the playable character independently) has opened up a whole new world of combat possibilities that old Bayo could never achieve (outside of some Bayo 2 Umbran Climax shenanigans)
    deathofaninja
    deathofaninja
I would rather have my chain chomp weapon than any of the summons in Bayo 3, but for the people that like that kind of stuff sure. It is kinda fun, but in Bayo 3 I find myself doing the same moves over and over again while in Bayo 2 I remember mixing it up and having more fun. Graphics, soundtrack and just about everything else felt better too. Viola needs to be shot on site.

GoW Ragnarok is this week? dam, I thought it was further away for sure lol

and it looks like im not the only one planning on picking up Frontiers, fingers crossed it's good, and if it's bad, oh well, arguing about Sonic games being good or bad is a battle I no longer have the drive to fight for

I think because Sonic can really fight now instead of just hop combat is pretty cool.

I'll probably try to pick up some sweet discounts for older games that I'd like to play (like Borderlands 1 GOTY for example) and maybe a newer fighting game during the Winter Sale. Maybe I'll keep some money around cause there might be a slight possibility that S3 for Granblue gets announced during Granblue Fes.
