    And apparently the recent "Symbiogenesis" title coming from Square-Enix is gonna be about Parasite Eve, according to 99% of the speculation out there. Probably a collection/remaster of the first two games rather than a remake tho.

    Now if only Capcom would remake something that could use a remake, like Sweet Home for NES or Dino Crisis.

    yeah it looks amazing. As a huge RE4 person, I am going to remain cautiously optimistic though. Hopefully Capcom doesn't fuck this up like they did with RE3 remake or else someone is gonna get fired lol.

    how could you question this game’s existence? RE4 has been milked more than any other game, it even got released on a Brazil only console called the zeebo.

    well it's not like RE4 is stuck behind a single console that's multiple generations old, this game has been available on anything and everything since the Gamecube, and it's holds up pretty well in the modern era, that combination of factors is why I think a remake is pointless, it'll look fine and i'm sure it'll play fine but it just reeks of redundancy

    don't know how it happened, but it ever since this Bayo 3 controversy, pre-orders for the game have actually sky rocketed; there really is no such thing as bad publicity lol

    at this point having a F2P mobile spinoff to your franchise is a thing every studio just needs to work out of their system, so there's no excuse to be surprised about it this late in the game

    that said

    this certainly was not the 30th anniversary announcement I was hoping for

    I luv how SF6 is right around the corner, and yet to this day you'll still find hella ppl posting SF4 content like it's 2015 lol

    SF4 is the type of game to work on plenty of consoles, PCs (even potato ones pretty much) and it definitely gives a more fast-paced footsie less SF experience, not to mention that for some players their favourite character is in this game still (like Dudley for SMUG or Makoto for a lot of people) and also that for a good amount of people (myself included)

    SF4 was the introduction to the fgc and to the competitive side of fighting games. SF5 won't receive the same treatment most likely but I won't be surprised by that, since it was disliked or hated for like half of its lifecycle.

    been itching for some team based fps action so I dl'ed Overwatch 2, but naw, still not feeling the whole hero shooter thing, shame really :/

    I refuse to play OW2, partly because of blizzard and the other is their change of stance on heroes and locking them into a battlepass in a game built around counter picking. ATM I'm playing Infinite (which is equally bad, but more fun imo.) until MW2 comes out. Hopefully that is good cuz BF2042 was a disaster. I miss when shooters where not incomplete F2P messes -_-

    @Raansu the price the shooter genre pays for divorcing it's multiplayer modes, sux but what can ya do

    also will give MW2 a shot just out of curiosity, though tbh I've never been big on the on the ground running and gunning most fps offer, I'm way more partial toward the strafe jumping at 80 mph with sniper in hand ala Quake or the many many MANY mods that sprung from it (Looking at you Nexuiz)

    Looks like SF6 is gonna reduce the amount of moves that are plus on block, and thank fuck for that, making every character be +2 off of blocked mediums was one of the more bone headed design decisions in SF5

    for all the hype for the mario movie trailer, that sh1t was short af, but I wasn't disappointed with what was shown so I guess it was alright :/

    honestly my biggest concern was that all the big name actors were gonna phone in their performances and just play themselves, but from what we've seen it looks like they're actually going to voice act, so kudos to them

    and yeah the fact that it's looks like a HD mario game is just perfect

    ah, I c, well that sux, one of the thing I praised Taimanin for was for being able to acquire characters with in-game currency allowing you to by pass gacha and paywalls, so yeah this does seem mad scummy, oh well im still out here trying to get characters i actually want so i guess i'll worry about Annerose later, since she does looks fun and powerful

    @Camel with 2 thumbs I do agree though, it was the most minimal step up from the 1st anniversary they could've taken but most of the fanbase said that we should (rightfully) keep our expectations low, which I agreed with after seeing their rewards for the 2nd Lantern Rite event.

    @Camel with 2 thumbs This is why I feel that its very important to take the game casually and only roll for the characters you really like, otherwise you'll have a very unpleasant time with it, especially after the recent interview(s) about what Hoyoverse is planning to do with Genshin, further affirming that the game is meant to be more on the casual side of things.

    While I am wary of the Ruroni Kenshin remake, if it means we'll finally see the Jinchu Arc get adapted (if you don't count the OVA) then I'll most definitely give it a shot

    Never read the Hokkaido Arc, my experience with Ruroni Kenshin is just the anime, the ova's (minus the new kyoto arc), reading the Jinchu arc in the manga, and that one non-canon movie that I can't remember a thing about lol

    @inochinagi I actually really liked the live-action Speed Racer movie when it came out. I haven't had a chance to watch the 90's series yet (called Speed Racer 97 or Speed Racer X I think?) but from the intro it looks really cool - I really like the Japanese remake of the theme that they used for that intro.

    Ngl, I think the Speed Racer movie is the best Wachowski movie. I was surprised how faithful it was to the show... I mean, it's not one of my favorite movies or anything, but it's one of the few good live action movies based on an anime/manga that no one ever brings up (along with Edge of Tomorrow, which is the best)

    Appleseed, Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, HunterxHunter, and Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island (which is essentially a superior version of Episode 15 in every conceivable way, only 70 minutes longer).

    Hate to say it but it feels like my fighting game arc is over, and I don't know if that sh!t is temporary or naw :/
    Currently enjoying a bunch of gacha and tcg but would like to sink my teeth into something fighting game related down the line...

    just noticed this, looks like SF6 will not have a comeback mechanic, an interesting choice since Capcom forced us to deal with that sh1t for over 10 years now
