Thanks Rikuto, but know that I have NOTHING against Chosen1 at all, rap music just doesn't resonate with me and I don't feel that it suits DOA. But of course the fact that he wrote and composed a song for the game is commendable, I said this exact same thing the first time I heard it.

I play DOA because it's one of the few fighting games with a roster that has a nearly equal Male:Female ratio and doesn't make all of the women fast-yet-weak type characters. DOA has to appeal to females moreso than most fighting games, but exploitative shit like 16 year olds in bikinis can easily have the opposite effect.

Also, I shouldn't have to be labelled as a feminist just because I'm tired of seeing my gender be treated like objectified slabs of meat in fighting games. It's just wrong, plain and simple. Not that I often make fuss about it, because LOL straight men, but DOA5 brought my hopes up a little and then disappointed me in the end, is all.

I see. And hopefully the girls have aged by the fifth DOA tournament. If they don't age, then doesn't that set the tournaments only months apart? I agree on that note. However, as we Americans may feel uncomfortable with their ages, the Japanese age of consent is 13 (daaamn thats low). So its common among them to shamelessly sexualize girls around 16.

There is where all of the hardcore competitive players went. That's who it was founded by. Naturally, we want a competitive game, so it's what we talk about. Some people feel threatened by that and try to get in the way of progress. When DOA 5 releases, the community will either come to peace with itself, or split. Either way the problem is temporary.

Unfortunately, it hardly comes across like that. I think people need to learn to keep their issues away from the main site so people looking to join the community here don't have to see a bunch of drama.
Really, I just wasn't a fan of having to see such high school behaviour of people "battling" it out in status comments.

I was actually talking to skisonic last night about address and how we both just aren't hyped about it. That the community is just wondering what to do with it and are waiting for evo to see the reaction.
