Well-Known Member, Male, from Southeast Asia

I wanted to like Gears of War 4, but the stages look so bland and the wall bounce feels bad. I hope in Gears 5 will be like Gears of War 3. Jul 21, 2018 at 6:29 AM

When I was like 15 years old or younger, my sister and I once switched clothes and walked around the supermarket just for shizz and giggles.

I often don't know what to react. I end up saying things that don't make sense at all, and 5 minutes later I'm like "Why did I say that?" Lol

You respond to compliments better than Kensei does, calling me 'triggered' and a 'liar'. That's why I commented on that other status in the first place.

I used to play Eliot a lot back in DOA4 because I like how hard he hits. I never touched him in DOA5 because of Akira.

I usually play like 2 games at a time. One being my main game, and the other I just play as a way of taking a break from my main game.

It slows down my learning growth in a single game when I play a lot of games. Trying to play Street Fighter, Injustice 2, KOF, and DOA at the same time will only make me less focused on learning a single game, and it makes it less interesting as well.

I would prefer that throws cannot be guard impacted because they're on the same category as unblockable moves, and unblockables can't be GI.
      1. Shirataki Tsume
        Shirataki Tsume
And throws are like the weakest moves in the game. If you get caught by it, it can be escaped, they have the shortest range of all moves and they're mostly highs, and they are on counter hit when interrupted.

Same ideas go to DOA's throws. Throws in DOA can't be countered by holds, only by strikes. And Tekken's throws can't be parried or reversed. I wish Soul Calibur will carry this kind of throw system as well.

Why is Maxi's right sidestep faster than his left sidestep in SCIV? That's odd. Both sides should have the same speed.

His right sidestep animation looks faster than his left. His left sidestep speed looks normal.

I'm not sure about that though because Yun-Seong's BB tracks to his left but Xianghua's 66BB tracks to her right. I guess it depends on the move or the character. Raphael's tracking is really bad though. Even some of his horizontal moves can be sidestepped by Astaroth or Voldo who has one of the slowest movement.

Soul Calibur II was a really deep game, but the inputs were fair except for Ivy's command throws. Soul Calibur V had many stuff that were simplified compared to the previous games.

As for Laura Bailey, her English accent is decent. She did an excellent job on Nadine Ross (which is very similar to Christie).

Twitch streams are fine as long as its not the popular ones. The popular ones have followers that are just as retarded as the ones in YouTube.

Though it depends on how the criticism was projected or how the criticism was received. Some people take it as an insult that they feel offended because they don't wanna admit its flaws or the one who did the criticism said something that made it not constructive but more offensive instead.

Wrong: Your analysis is shallow with poor judgement.
Right: It lacks some of the details that could have been mentioned.

I was kinda naïve that whenever I see a new player having difficulty performing Lee’s b+2 Mist Step cancels in a combo, it made me wonder on how is that difficult because it felt pretty easy to me, but I didn't know other fighting games had more loose inputs than Tekken because I barely play other fighting games before besides Tekken and Soul Calibur.

I don't think the inputs in Kekken are difficult, easy, or technical: I think they're genuinely SHIT.
Why in fuck doesn't the game just let me buffer quarter circle motion, forward forward motion moves etc. during the recovery of the previous animation? Why didn't they add that 1 frame of leniency on simultaneous multiple button presses like any other sane fighter did? Everything feels like shit. Still fun though.

    Main Character:
    Momiji
I'm a new player in Dead or Alive who came from Tekken. After being a dedicated Tekken player for 10 years, I moved to Dead or Alive since Tekken 7 came out because I don't find Tekken 7 appealing and interesting. I started playing Dead or Alive with Dead or Alive 4 sometime in late 2017 and I started playing Dead or Alive 5 a few months after.

Tekken, Soul Calibur, and Dead or Alive are the only fighting games I ever play the most, but Dead or Alive is my newest one. I don't play a lot of fighting games because it's too much to learn. Actually, one fighting game is overwhelming enough for me to learn. It's like trying to read an entire science book.

Well, I played Bloody Roar, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter and some other fighting games in the past when I was a kid, but I didn't stay with them for long. I've played Tekken and Soul Calibur since a decade ago, and Tekken being my main fighting game and Soul Calibur as my second one. I play my fighting games very seriously like I always go to the point of mastering the game's depth with fundamentals and execution skills. I wanted to get along with Virtua Fighter, but my fingers hurt every time I play that game.

I know Dead or Alive 5 is old and many old players are fed up with it, but I'm having a lot of fun with it. Actually, I knew about Dead or Alive since years ago, and I always wanted to play it because the game looks attractive and flashy, but I could never put myself into playing other fighting games when I got so dedicated with Tekken, plus I have financial problems which is why I didn't buy Dead or Alive 5 during the time when it was still new.

My mains: Phase 4, Momiji, Hayate, Mila, Jacky Bryant, and Akira (I usually enjoy playing difficult characters because of the challenge, but I also like to play characters with average difficulty for stress relief.)

My mains in other fighting games:

TEKKEN - Law, Jin, King, Lee
Soul Calibur - Yun-Seong, Maxi, Kilik, Xianghua, Seong Mi-Na, Raphael, Amy

When it comes to the fighting games I play, I don't just play my main characters, I play like almost everyone of them. It's boring to just play my main characters and not try out everybody else.

My main characters are usually the Bruce Lee characters in their respective games such as Law, Maxi, and Jacky Bryant. But I don't main Jann Lee because he's the Bruce Lee based fighting game character I like the least.
