i mean for future ninja gaiden games

As much as I respect those companies none of them would help much with the gameplay. From Software is the closest to being a hack n slash and that's still nowhere close. Even from a technical standpoint TN doesn't really need help. they're spot on with their programming, animation etc...

The only people I feel could help TN would be Platinum and they're the competition.

TN programming, animation and models is top notch, but i feel the level design in razor edge feels lackluster, same with boss fight

agreed that they could learn one or two from platinum games.

got some interesting news

http://gematsu.com/2016/06/composer-working-new-ninja-gaiden-related-project-news-coming-july

Could be a number of things so I'd recommend not getting your hopes up too high, whatever it is i assume will be around the DOA festival.

Is probably music related, I doubt he will be allowed to give a hint like that if it was a new game. I don't think the guy works at Tecmo anymore, is probably a music project with the Brainwave music label.

I was streaming NGS1 the other day and opened up the game with a Hex editor. There's another armlet that crashes the game the moment you wear it.

Any other fun stuff that can be done by modding it?

Yeah, to start off you can have weapons/items/accessories of any kind to be placed with you. The player can start the game off with a Plasma Sword MK.II in the inventory that isn't really possible to get without collecting scarabs (Dabi, DDB etc.), you can have those band items from Ayane from the easier mode (Ninja Dog) to be taken with you on another difficulty, Rachel items to be given to Ryu or vice-versa etc. (will have no effect when Ryu or Rachel wears them and the game will crash if you attempt to equip weapons that they can't naturally wield because there's no animation models for X weapon for Y character, Rachel for example can't use Ryu's Dragon Sword.)

There is also the option to modify the armlet's usage. Armlet of the Moon as an example starts off with a base modifier for defense, the armlet itself is pretty useless because the goal of the game is to make sure you don't get hit hard anyway, but you can edit the base effects to where you can make the higher difficulty do damage equivalent to Normal and making normal mode itself do damage to you that's about as equal as bats hitting you. The effects will wear off when you take it off and equipping it again because it'll only work when Ryu is active.

You can also have an increased health bar that wouldn't be possible to obtain naturally. For example, starting at the very beginning on the game within the first save point having higher/maxed health. Within the game there is a total number of Life of The Gods and Thousand Lives of The Gods that you can pick up, however the game also confirmed that there is still missing health even if you picked up all of them on a regular playthrough, so by having higher health to start off or max, you can add even more health via Life of The Gods/Thousand Gods on your journey (so far you can only add 6 more because the game itself will let you know that Ryu can't consume anymore, so it'll be left in your inventory) In short, even if you collected all the health upgrades you are still missing health that can't be gained by normal means because there is no more, but there is slightly extra room to gain more health to be "truly" max health. I can take a screenshot later on with the KI slots as well.

One of the cool things about hex editing those saves is that you may find items from the game itself that was removed or data still left in there but buggy. There's another armlet from Ryu with no name, no portrait icon, and bad description with bunch of numbers and upside down question marks. Game crashes when you leave the screen. Rachel also has another pair of earrings, a weapon with no name, no description, no picture icons. Will freeze the moment you even highlight them. Stuff left in the game that the developers took out for some specific reason etc.

Mind sharing some offsets for NGS :D?

These are the ones I got from showr18 a while back: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bxl9VFOzjS13U3k2ck5hdmpGNkk/view?usp=sharing

If you have ones that are not listed, can you share them! thanks

Have you dabbled with NGRE hex editing? That game has hundreds of hidden stuff lol.

Rachel's weapon is probably the whip they showed in the first trailer for Sigma. Would have been nice to see how it worked.

For sure bro, though it looks like you got the same exact ones I got. I haven't tried digging into NG3/RE yet, I want to go into that one eventually though lol. You can use Game Genie's hex opening tool too and I heard that one was really good.

I just use HxD editor and manually search for stuff, its a lot of fun but frustrating when the game crashes, especially NGRE since its so SLOW to load xD. Spent weeks on NGRE just digging for random stuff. My favorite item I found was the ability to put Genshin's armour piece of Hayabusa, the armour piece with the black falcon outfit looks totally badass! But I lost the hex code >.<, would take hours to brute force my way through to find it again.

Edit: Managed to find the video! Btw doesn't game Genie cost a lot of money?

I wonder if the trend with multiple characters will continue in future Ninja Gaiden Games

It seems that they really figured out how to make it right in NG3RE.

Also, i'm playing NG3RE non stop since february, and recently i got NG2 and NGBlack.

NGblack is amazing, i just started very hard, would go faster if i was using items (though i'll probably start using them later on this difficulty or master ninja, but will do my best to just win without needing those).

NG2, is infuriating, is kind of in a similar boat as NG3RE to me, in what it does good, it does really good, but it has a lot of really infuriating things.

The biggest thing is that i kinda learned how to deal with the layers of problems in ng3re and just enjoy the good parts, but i'm struggling to get the same feeling on NG2.

I feel curious about the Sigma games, how they are different from my versions, but i'm not buying a ps3 just for them (and not that i think they don't deserve, is just that gaming in brazil is too expensive for me to buy alternative versions of games that i already have).

Like, mostly with sigma 2, since there is a lot of division between fans on this one, and i want to see if i would enjoy more.

Also, is how i got to really know DOA, because before, it was for me that "braindead pure fanservice wannabe fighting game" that is always preached in a lot of places (and i also played the doa 4 demo and didn't like the style or how the game felt), and when i played ninja gaiden, and thought: "doa is in the same setting? i must look deeper".

Also, really nice findings on hex code, i don't really mess up with games in that way, i just play them and try to get better, and do cool stuff (while surviving in Ninja Gaiden's case).

Will also try to get the NES games on my wii u virtual console for completion sake and also to see if i'm able to beat those.

I'm being honest when i say that co-op or the trials are NOT my ideal of fun in this game, i just do chapter challenges, i'll probably tackle the trials properly in some future, but the fact that they aren't really made for single player and how much exploting and abusing flaws in the system is part of the "trials meta", makes me not excited to play it that much.
