Ah! Yeah, I don't have the Ki Blast. Been upgrading what looks cool instead of what's potentially useful (go me).

BTW, does anyone know if the rainy stage/Chimera boss from the Alpha is included in the Beta? Can't seem to find how to access it.

haha dude, its soo good! It barely uses any ki and it also damages the enemy as well.

So I got to try a little bit of the demo but no time to play it in full yet.

Like any souls game, the hardest thing about it is the getting used to the clunky ass controls lol. I got my ass handed to me when I used katanas but started decimating when I used a spear

Problem I'm having right now is the HUGE delay between attacks, while enemies can do flurry rushes (?!) and sometimes it won't let me dodge or block or anything even when stamina is full.

Also anyone else notice the sliding during the running animation? Or know how much longer the demo will be up for?

Finished this battle completely naked using only your bare hands and everything else off, sad thing is that my PC crashed causing my capture card to cancel the rest. I actually did it too, but now I have to do it again. Sad.

I'll try to record the entire thing again, I was a bit hype upon completion for attempt.

Just got to say again how much I love this game. Really impressive stuff from Team Ninja.

I like all the changes in the beta for the most part. I do miss the low stance ki pulse dodge a little, but I also understand why they changed it. The one thing I continue to wish they would implement is something like Wind Run from Ninja Gaiden----if you are fleeing/have your back to multiple enemies, pressing lock-on will automatically swing William around and engage with the closest enemy.

The window on ki pulse seems very generous compared to the alpha and I think that's a good thing. It's an integral feature that was only used by a few players in the alpha.

Unless the Chimera stage is hiding in here somewhere then I believe that I've effectively completed all of the Demo's stages. Been helping some randoms through the Co-op feature. If any of you are looking for help or whatever, I'd be game to help (I believe you can set-up specific games through the "Secret Word" feature?).

meanwhile im just fucking around in the caves....

problem with ninjustu you WILL be noticed if you are in close proximity to a target. meaning if you come across a body laying in the way you can't just sneak past not only will it notice you, but you'll lose your invisibiJESUS FUCKING HELL THE WALL HAS EYES!

Question: With the singe katana, does the "Flux" skill combo with the "Iai Quickdraw III"?
(ie: does the automatic Iai transition give you the ki bonus from Flux?)

Okay so I'm at the demon on the boat. Can't seem to beat him though. I can dodge but eventually he takes me out in two hits. And he takes like no damage from my best weapon with a buff.

I really wanna recover my souls its like 12k lol. But they are in the boss room

Have you guys tried the Twilight missions yet? it's a change in area coloring and scenery to dark red, enemies replaced in areas with stronger ones, more enemies etc. but the reward payout is greater for playing on it. There is this flaming wheel Yokai thing in some of these twilight missions too. I finished the one with Hino-enma the other day.

He's actually pretty easy for the first part, the second part he obtains faster movement but not at all super difficult. You'd want to attack him at certain points and avoid him completely right after because of the large area spinning chains attack he does. You should attack when he finished the spinning attack or two chain ball swings. (2-3x strikes of mid stance Katana should do it) and then immediately step away for repeat. The second part is when you shatter his chains, he'll tend to throw the chain balls at you this time which is not at all hard to dodge either. If he's still giving you trouble throw in some Sloth talisman to slow him down, that should allow you to get more hits in.

There's an item that allows you to call back your guardian spirit holding your Amrita. Check to see if you have those in your inventory. (Course, don't constantly use the item since it's limited, use it when you are really stuck in a jam or you are about to level up.) I only use it when I managed to die somewhere deep within the stage and I get transferred to a earlier shrine part of the stage. Really useful in Twilight missions.

Yes, I completed all three.

They're actually quite fun to farm using the "Clear Yokai with a Companion" feature from the Gate menu. You usually get paired with another player who also knows what they're doing, so you can whistle through them quite quickly for high-level loot.

I miss Raikiri. Is there any way to get it from the Beta? Guessing not. Also, Shibusawa Kou's Revenant doesn't drop the sweet sword it used to, either. At least it isn't a guaranteed drop.

Anybody find any new special Revenants in the beta? Raidou and Kasumi were both in the level we didn't get back. In the new level I fought Ayane and the Revenant only uses low stance for the quick strikes and the dodge happens to be a spin that gets abused. Quite clever.

Yes… it's a fixed reward from the first stage's Twilight Mission. It's only “rare” though, still has as many stat lines as most “one of a kind” items and scales with Spirit in addition to the other Attributes, so Dmg is decent for most builds as well. Don't think it randomly drops so no chance to get a “one of a kind” version.

Nice. I've only gotten a couple hours on the beta so far but I've gotten to the boss of the second stage so I can dive into the Twilight missions pretty fast. Looking forward to it now.

Rakiri is the second-highest damage sword I've found. It could potentially be the most if you soul match it, however.

Most is the Nami-oyogi Kanemitsu.
