Community Absolute Battle 7: Sweet Revenge Back on the Grid

Taking place in Dallas, TX this weekend, Absolute Battle played host to some of the finest players in the community. BBoyDragon made the trip down and some of Dallas' most well-known players were also in attendance. Surprising more than a few, Sweet Revenge appears to have located his controller and popped back up at a tournament for the first time in quite a while. MASTER was also in attendance, tossing Sweet Revenge into Losers after a close set. Sweet Revenge then battled back, taking the first set against MASTER in commanding fashion for the reset. The final set was much closer, with all signs pointing to MASTER taking it before an impressive rally brought SR the 'W'.

Check the stream archive below. The tournament runs from about the 12:00 mark to about 3:02 on the timeline.

Just finished watching the finals on the archive. Great matches. It's always nice to see Sweet Revenge's Gen Fu :)
Anyway, what's with all the hate towards Master on the stream commentary lol?

I think he is a good player lmao I just talk garbage to him all the time. That and tournament wasnt a B.R So i just wanted to express my Jealousy towards him lmao

I don't know I win or even got a set off SR lmao.... The mash is real with me
Talking about the mash... there were some YOLO 7Ks you threw playing against SR. Is that a "legit" tech you use regularly? or you just wanted to get SR off? I mean, at first you landed a couple of them, but then they all got blocked and punished with Gen Fu's throw launcher. Specially on the third match.
Still, great matches as an spectator viewpoint.

yeah I was getting more mentally tired towards end. I actually frame trap the 7Ks or interrupt strings that have been delayed with them. I use it to interrupt because if they happen to use it too quick. I will just get hit in a weird state and you won't be able to get good juggle or most of the time I just fall on the ground. Its risky, but I love to Gamble lol. There some method to my 7Ks basically. Against char. that i'm really familiar with like example I did 7k landed it all the time against Dallaz Hitomi cause i know it that match up. Ask @LordXav1er I make him hate Phase-4 7k LOL no delayed stings when playing against me when I know the char delay range

Thanks for the reply man (Y)
I went back on the archive and watched all your Phase-4 matches. It's nice to have a nice 7k or any other "get off me" move to interrupt strings that can be delayed eternally and/or with multiple follow-ups. I tend to use Christie's 7K in the same way, but not that often because if that kick gets hit it won't have weird state when you get hit on a move's jumping frames.
