Better a childish story in WoFF than a tryhard garbled mess from Kingdom Hearts or Dissidia story mode.
Not really interested in the game or anything, but hearing it's not a struggle of light and darkness in a world of dark and light in chaos and cosmos is a good thing.

Also while I don't expect the main story to be long, remember that early release/day one streamers tend to want to finish a game as fast as possible.

Yeah, but you forget the second part about the story. "It's simply not good". One reviewer literally called it "awful".
Or do you also prefer an awful story over a "tryhard, garbled mess". I'd hate those kinds of stories all equally. The writer of Dissidia's story was also the writer of FFXV's story by the way, lol.

It's a Tonberry. A typical enemy of older FFs and fan favorite of many.

They are cute yet creepy with their butcher knives. XD

Here's by the way the video where the screenshot is from:

It is a game preview in Spanish and it shows some really pretty scenes from the Duscae region. It really looks lush and gorgeous in the final game. :)

Uh oh, if that's the case I fear for FFXV' story.

I prefer a simple story that is awful over a tryhard garbled mess that is awful (example: Kingdom Hearts II). The first clearly is shit to make more space for the gameplay and the crossover shenanigans (basically, it's more of an excuse than anything so skipping it is not game changing), the other is shit because it wants to be taken seriously really badly but all it brings to the table is unneeded complexity, confusion and very simple messages and meanings.

Dissidia was a weird middle road, thinking about it.

Really? The game has 100 hours of content so they must have not done that?

Most likely not and just speed run through the story. People in some areas can get the game early depending on location, but there is potential to speed run something even on first-time playthrough if you just skip everything (assuming there's an option to skip things like cutscenes and double speeding dialogue.)

But one of the streamers posted it in a FF forum and people were asking on how the hell he finished the game that quick. Something I wanted to ask as well because I mean really, there has to be breaks in between there. Do you eat? you have to shower in between somewhere there. Do you have pets? a job? so many questions people wanted to ask him and I have to say that those questions are the very same I had in mind. I have never seen the video, but the guy was posting stuff on his 14 hour run that came up true surprisingly according to them. Those GameFAQs users heard about it as well.

WoFF sounds like it's an alright game, it came in the mail not too long ago but not in the mood to play it as of yet. Too many other games I need to complete.

EDIT: It's not an adult. It's a 15 year old. Just found that out.

Dissidia was a weird middle road, thinking about it.

Dissidia wasn't entirely bad story-wise, I must admit that there should of been more dialogue interaction with certain characters and less repetitive action to get the story going in a positive pace that doesn't confuse the crowd, I felt there should of been more room than just a standard fighting game with a world map without towns or monsters. More of a case of

*World map appears* Uh oh!
*World map has no towns or monsters* Oh.........

Tonberry. Don't let the cute looks fool you. It's one of the most savage enemies on the FF globe. It carries a knife that spells impending doom. They are rare (somewhat) in certain FFs and most linger in near end game dungeons or post-game content dungeons. Some are in the wild within very dangerous areas that you are not suppose to be in yet. There are other versions to it such as Mega Tonberry (I think there was one in X/X-2), Tonberry Don, and Master Tonberry.

Aww Tonberry are so cute though that I love the even if they are kind of crazy with their knife. They do take down a lot of health though. I'm happy to see they got in XV.

Also I haven't checked out the demo yet for WOFF

I'm sure there are those that will like the game for them. Even I got it and I don't even like the art style it carries. I think it's alright, I won't drop my opinions until I fully complete the game's story and post game content. Eventually I'll play it.

i can't stop playing FF14 im constantly chasing after that next level up. im very close to unlocking the ninja class just need 4 more levels in Rogue then 15 pugilists which i can get to easily. aside from the requirements im avoiding looking up anything else because im very curious how that class is going to fit in Eorzea. like so far we got the arabian, the pirates, and the elves where the hell does the ninja guild end up being?

i'm not very far in it myself. been busy playing my other PS4 games, but first hybrid class I'm working towards is Dragoon.

I'm like level 20 or so lancer right now. finished Gridania, havent really started in on the pirate area. Just unlocked the hairstylist and that's about it so far.

I do enjoy it though, a lot.

id recommend doing story missions as much as possible. around level 25 you get the opportunity to join a faction that'll let you grind a few levi missions for a chocobo license. once you get it you then have a permanent chocobo at your beck in call which dramatically helps with literally everything.
