My issue is not knowing what the Jumps are for... its with not being able to get the type of jump I want.

Practice them, it's also very important to know that most characters do not cover the same distances from both jumps and both hops. Knowing your range is vital.

According to a Tutorial I read... apparently Tapping Down right after Tapping Up is an effective Technique/Exercise of insuring you get The Short Hop instead of the long Leap. (They probably realised that Hitting Two Buttons one after the other in quick succession reduces the amount of time your thumb doddles on the 1st button).

Anyways, I've tried so many Fighting Games these past 3 Months. I don't know whether to Focus on this or Street Fight V.....

So apparently Everybody's making a huge fuss over KOF XIV's Graphics... and I just don't see what everybody's on about..... I don't say this because of the expcected "I'm a Gameplay over Graphics person" argument... I honestly and genuinely don't see what everyone else is seeing.

Maybe I'm going Blind. :eek:

This is one of the basic tricks that veterans tell newcomers to use when coming into KoF. Because the timing difference between getting a short hop and a regular jump is just a few frames during a characters pre-jump frames.

It's an ugly ass game but prettier than MVCI.

LoL... sorry... I just don't see it.

Polygons seem okay
Texture Seem Okay
Lighting Seems Okay
Partical Effects seem Okay.

Game looks fine.... I mean yeah sure its no Final Fantasy XV but thats in own its league.

I mean.. I'm not going to compare a 2D fighter to an RPG (or whatever they want to call it..) but it's an ugly ass game compared to the previous title XIII.

I just saw some pre-patch pictures of the game.... Now I can see why people got so upset. I mean once the game was in Motion it became less Noticeable.

You know, I've notice this is some sort of Trend... whenever a Spritebased 2D Fighting Game Switches to 3D, people just Straight Up go Bonkers and demand they Change it like the good old days.


I personally prefer Full on 3D.... it just Animates more Smoothly....

It seems like Team Red was aware of this when they made Guilty Gears Xrd because even though Guilty Gear is 3D.... they tried to replicate All the Features of 2D Sprites... even all the way Right Down to the "Stopmotion" like Animations.

Fighting Games are weird....

i'm kinda annoyed. the screenshot for the vid is her with her hood down, and she's GORGEOUS, but in game she has that damn hood up so you cant even really see her.
