Saw her in game gameplay.. I was expecting her to be more mobile and zone heavy. Have the season pass, so we'll next Tuesday. Heres some gameplay. She will not be a motion input base character, but dual inputs like Ed. I honestly hate this lazy trend, but at least I won't have to think hard when anti airing lmao

Two very important question.. Why is lord Bison making female clones.. and why are his clones blonde when he's black haired =/

Actually you have it Backwards... Its Charge Motions and DP Inputs where you don't have to think hard... They're fast, invincible and have huge hitboxes. Its just :3::3: as fast as you can.

You actually do have to think for Ed's Anti Airs because they are slow as fuck.... you can't just whip'em whenever you see a jump like Dragon Punches because Ed will just get Bonked on the Head before he can go invincible.

BTW... Was playing with Ken... that Jumping Hard Punch is as good as everybody says it is... I've actually seen people punish throw tech attempts with it.

yeah... d/f, d/f + punch versus tapping two buttons.. Not my fault Ed's DP hitbox is shit. However, my PERSONAL preference in terms of execution would just be tapping two buttons. Play Ken if it's easier and that works for you.

LoL... Ken is difficult as all hell...

Not just in terms of execution but the reactions (And equipment) needed to Hitconfirm his Standing Hard Punch into his V-Skill is way beyond me or my monitor.

Ironically enough... his combos as just as impractical as Ed's if not more so.

I've been playing Ryu...

I was doing Okay with Guile until I started getting Accidental Sonic Booms... which was a surprise to me because I thought one of the benefits of playing a Charge Character was to eliminate the problem of doing the move... and for Bison, F.A.N.G. & Urien it is. But for Guile they were like "F#ck It" !!!

I knew it was too good to be True... it turns Falke is not the Accessible character I was lead to believe.

She has a Charge Special Move just like Birdie and Balrog.

Definitely not a Pad Friendly character... you need something that will let you place more fingers on the Buttons... just like Ed.

So maybe its just my Imagination byt have you guys noticed something Strange About The Armor in this game ? When a character absorbs something in Armor it seems like There's a nice giant Hitstop... That only affects the character getting hit...

And thats a shame because in most situations you can only soak up one hit... and if you're stuck in Hitstop when you're opponent isn't then you're just gonna get Hit Again.

Man, Falke almost makes Juri look good. But she's still kind of fun. If they buff her zoning or movement a bit she could be really fun.

I recorded Ken's Jump in Hard Punch too see which Normals could stop it.


Ken's jumping Hard Punch has an extremely large vertical hitbox... I'm willing to bet it is the absolute best Air To Ground attack in the Game.

This is good because if you Stand Up he can hit you right after the Apex of his Jump. Which means you need to DP it like this (:3::2::3:) ... other wise you'l stand up and get pounded on by that Gigantic Fist if his.

1) I tested a bunch of Normals that would stop it and Cammy's Back Medium Punch seemed to have to highest success rate... not because of its Priority (which it does have in spades)... but because of its Speed... its a 4-Frame Medium Normal... Cammy's also pretty short... causing the first active frame of some attacks to whiff (Moonsault) meaning one extra frame to Anti-Air. Stopping Ken's Jump ins was a Breeze with her. There is one catch however, its Hitbox is abit narrow so it will only stop opponents who are directly above her head.

2) In 2nd place I say Zangief's Standing Lightpunch is absurdly good...which is weird because the April Balance Update was suppose to eradicate Anti-Lights... and maybe it did because No matter how hard I tried I could never get Standing light punch to properly beat Ken's Jump in Attack while it was active... I either get hit or the Light punch always interrupts the attack (which isn't true Anti-Airing)... but who cares... it works and the Quick recovery is great for Zangief because he's a grappler...

3) and in 3rd place I would place Ryu's crouching Hard Punch as an okay anti-air... which is weird because his fist doesn't actually go above his head so I don't know why this works... its still trades like crazy against jump in attacks but doesn't straight up lose as often as other normal anti-airs do.... its the best one could hope for.


4) R. Mika's Crouching Medium Punch is rubbish... you have to whip it out damn early to beat Ken's fist and even then it always Counter Hits... in addition to its weird priority its got a tiny hitbox and inches Mika forward causing both Attacks to whiff.... so why mention her at all ?

Well it turns out trying to sneak away is better than trying to anti-air with her.... crouching Hard Punch allows her to go underneath semi late jump ins. Crouching Hard Kick lowers her hurtbox and if done late enough can even anti-air jump ins the were mean't to beat crouching medium punch.... if you must do it early then do it very early because it doesn't have crouching hard punch's Recovery.

So I just saw Daigo whiff a flash kick against Nuckledu's Cannon Strike....

Which is really strange...

The strength of the Legendary Flash Kick is that you can whip it out at the blink of an eye because of its simple input... as long as its already charged ofcourse. And its got a gigantic Hitbox the pretty much covers half the screen.

Really it doesn't matter what you're anti-airing... if its coming in your direction then Flash Kick will snuff it out. Anybody should be able to do it.... and yet Daigo missed.

It must have been the Input Lag...

But just in case it wasn't.... this got me thinking... about them One Button Invincible Reversals that everybody's so afraid of... if Cammy can Bait out Flash Kicks in high level play then One button Flash Kicks aren't the game breaking tumors fans keep claiming they are.

I'm just ready for Cody Travers tbh, I liked Sakura when she was released but tbh it seems like no one even uses her XD Blanka I dislike and I like Falke although Ed is way better imo. I also can't wait for the new DLC and crossover gear, I love Juri in her Lilith DLC and Karin as Ingrid, and I like Nash in that Captain Commando costume cuz of dat ass, and Menat's Darkstalker costume for that same reason

Yeah I fiddled with her alil bit... shes got that problem of being the same as other shoto characters but not as good... like Ryu.

Witch I guess is fitting, narratively speaking.
Well in SF4 I know many people considered her better game play wise than Ryu and Ken but in SF5 Ryu considered one of the worst whip Sakura isn't much better either

I'm actually not too sure about Ken... apparently he's good but you need to be able to cancel off of single hit confirms.... I hear people saying that his Standing Hard Punch is easy to confirm into his V-Skill... but for the life of me I couldn't do it.... the hitstop is just way too short.... mind you I practiced this on a Monitor instead of a TV so I can't even blame my Hardware... :( I just suck...

Ryu's Target Combo can be single hit confirmed... I did this many times... you don't even neen the added Hitstop of the crush counter version. Unfortunately his Target Combo Sucks so that was wasted Practice... its so suboptimal.

Sakura wasn't so bad... its just the her Anti-Airs are rubbish... particarly her light Shouken... her Jump Buttons are good though... better than Cammy's I would say. But the Actual jump itself is pretty average... which wouldn't be a problem if her V-Skill wasn't just yet another slow Jump... its too high.... if its height was lowered down to Hooligan level then that I could work with.

Sakura sucks because she can't get in. In SF4 you could end all her combos in mp/hp shouken that allowed for a safe jump into pressure/frametraps or link into crouching roundhouse hard knockdown, not to mention her stun/corner carry/tatsu loops made her a threat. She can't do any of that in SFV. All she has is a good walkspeed, and VT2. She's just terrible which is a shame because I mained her in USF4. If you can keep her out, you can win.

SFV is such a dry and bare bones game compared to USF4 and that's mostly because they're trying to play it safe.

This would explain why her jump in buttons are above average... to give her some hope against the zoners. But trying to Jump over Sonic Booms in this Game is literally like Gambling...

SFV is such a dry and bare bones game compared to USF4 and that's mostly because they're trying to play it safe.

Its so dry I don't even think the Comparison is even necessary. Even in by its own merits the game feels extremely tame.

Anytime one character gets something Semi Useful they break out the nerf hammer... Ryu, Abigail, Rashid....and it looks like Cammy's next. The only one who seems to be safe is Akuma... for now.

gonna be honest, I redownloaded this to try falke, but it's just such a fucking chore to earn FP in the game that I still dont have her, Sakura, or Alex, just Menat.

Don't fret, sweetness.... shes not worth it anyway...

I have all the DLC characters and out of all of them I like Ed, Kolin(:oops:), Alex(Ed is better but Alex is one hot fucker >.>), Menat and I like Falke a lot more than I thought I would. I'm still waiting on Cody who will be the last person in the pack I want to see. Next season I hope Remy, Gill, Twelve, or Poison or Ingrid will appear
