Maybe its just me but Hitomi has a really weird mouth shape in Xtreme3/VVGot a picture of that?
it just looks a little off model to me, maybe its just placebo but I can't shake the feeling she's weird looking here and different to DOA5.
EDIT: I think I have it, her mouth is just slightly smaller in DOAX3 her eyes are a bit smaller and less anime too so it just looks weird to me
Hm...Hitomi looks weird in general since DOA5. XD
I secretly hope they will rework her face a little and with a little I mean...

Don't call Hitomi weird she's cute! she's cuter than what's her face and Misaki.
Honestly I think Hitomi's 5 design is perfect, just need to tweak her facial features to look more natural and she'd be the most attractive girl in the whole series.
Kasumi, Ayane and most of the western girls look too much like super models and that's ironically kind of a turn off.

Her DOA3-Dimensions design sucked and her hair was too big, Hitomi with her new design and a ponytail is perfecto.
I'm really interested to see how they will do Hitomi's hair in DOA6. I expect hair to be thicker (since they don't seem to use transparency as much) and with lots more polygons, falling much more smoothely over her shoulders. They do need to rework her fringe though, it's really low resolution i texture and low-polygon in DOA5. And then there are those weird...lop ears(?), lol, that hang to the sides of her face. I wonder if they will do something different with those.

What her about her costume design? I don't want her to just be in double denim or boring Tank Top + jeans...
A look similar to Claire Redfield's new design in RE2 remake would work well with Hitomi a lot I feel especially with her ponytail (which I hope they use as her main style her iconic style is cool but doesn't translate into the new art style well its too thin).
a jacket, skinny jeans and boots could work really well on Hitomi, minus the gun holster and bike lol

I hope darker than in DOA5. Nintendo, the most Japanese company ever, has proven dark skinned girls can be popular with BOTW, ARMS and even Splatoon 2. TN should learn a lesson from them.
Although I wonder... Maybe the majority of DOA's demographic doesn't even like dark skinned girls. Nintendo is very popular after all so they appeal to many kinds of people (inb4 ITS 4 KIDS XDDD joke), while DOA mostly has weeby fans and asian fans. Maybe that's why animu characters like Marie and Honk and the asian girls are so popular.

@Hayabusiness, I don't want to generalize...but I've noticed a tendecy of Japanese games having a long history of whitewashing dark-skinned characters or being very reluctant to even add dark-skinned characters. It's gotten much better in recent years, because the Japanese gaming market outside of the booming mobile games market did shrink considerably and the West has become more and more important for Japanese developers too, so they do need to cater to us too, which means more diversity in character designs. Diversity is obviously not a big topic in racially very homogenous Japan.

@Tyaren yeah, don't get me wrong, the only Japanese companies who I remember constantly keeping their dark skinned characters as such are Capcom (who was and kinda is aware of their overseas market) and first party Nintendo teams like ex-EAD (who always keeps it in mind). And even then I'm sure they bleached something somewhere.
I really hope TN goes back to Lisa's old skin color much like they went back to Helena's old papitas size.

They made Zack darker in 5U didn't they? I swear in some costumes he looks really dark(good example is his light blue sweater) and he's even darker in 6 so there's a good chance if they revive Lisa (RIP) She'll be darker skinned especially with Dark skin/silver hair being real popular atm

Not gonna lie, not really digging Jann's face. It looks kinda monkey-ish. His face in 5 was way better. I'll be hoping for this to be another case of "Hitomi-faced" and pray that they retouch it for the final release like they did with hers for 5's launch.New screen:

Team Ninja really should stop the random and patchy blurring of their screenshots. They do this for as long as I can remember and it makes the games and their image quality look worse then they actually are.

Speaking of Hitomi, it'd be cool if her supers had a firey phoenix graphical effect. I hate that only the ninjas get cool ki blasts and stuff.

Can Hayate get more masked costumes? his C3 and C7/C8 are some of his best costumes IMO the mask makes him almost look cool.(his new default would be 70% better if he had a mask)

He has the exact same face as in DOA 5, just more polygons and better textures. It's the advanced lighting system and the more exaggerated facial expressions that can lead to the characters looking unflattering in some moments, like with people in real life.
I already mentioned it, but I expect a second big wave of outrage once fans see their waifus look really unpretty during fights, when they want to take pictures, lol. Maybe they will tone down the facial contortions a tiny bit until release. Even I think they are a bit much.

I was curious about this so I did some research to see Jann's face outta fight and it does indeed looks like 5 but with new bump maps? It looks like they gave him some wrinkles, and this is especially noticeable beneath his eyes and also in his laugh/smile lines (I think they're called that in English? lol).
Maybe it's true that this, along the new lightning system, is what makes his face look so unflattering and different to 5 in that image since, because of the lightning source, the shadows are basically VERY pronounced in the wrinkly areas. And it doesn't help that the face he's making is pretty exaggerated as well lol.
