Meh this better not be the VV news although I'm sure that's a different game technically.
DOAX3 Sense should've been an ultimate version of X3 seeing as it got bashed.

If Tina is the news, I sure hope Rachel makes it afterwords.

Wait there's upcoming VV news??

I'm not expecting much from VV news but I hope I'm wrong.
Maybe a character and more activities.

Most are looking forward to more DOA6 news.
One more day to wait.

Yeah, the TGS talk reminds me, can someone post the actual schedule for TGS especially regarding DOA-related stuff (ie, DOAXVV and DOA6)?

Anyways, a bit of a reminder, Momiji has a birthday coming up tomorrow, so if anyone gets it, feel free to post it.

Eh, for me, I'm looking forward more to VV news than DOA6 news, especially after the various missteps that have been done during development, even ignoring the more infamous bits about them... ahem, "toning down" things.

the fanservice is back in DOA6, don't worry

There's little evidence of the jiggle physics remaining during actual gameplay, though, so I'd rather wait out regarding that.

Besides, it's not just the fanservice being toned down by a huge degree that concerns me about the game, but the actual mechanics. For example, I'm pretty sure showing a zoom up of one of the fighters being bloodified with a powerful blow is not going to sit well with people, even leading to accusations of it being a domestic abuse simulator. Plus, it using a rehash of the DW9 engine isn't doing it wonders on the physics side, especially when the Soft Engine came across as far more realistic in terms of actual physics. Heck, there's even evidence that they're going to cut characters out AGAIN and release them as DLC at a later date thanks to the development problems, and then retreading DOA5U/LR regarding endless DLC and all of that.

It's literally a fighting game, C'mon...the clues in the name. they're fighting, male and female. It isn't always gonna be pretty when people's fists are connecting with people's faces. ( Not to mention It's togglable on/off )
PS: They've shown jiggle physics during gameplay now so genuinely don't know where you're getting "little evidence" from.

As for Venus Vacation news I'd still honestly prefer It just be DoAX3U or something or dlc support starting up for DoAX3 again rather than stuff for VV, But since that's 99% not happening I imagine It's something like a Tina reveal and a new location... That's if that Tamaki outfit and climbing being added wasn't the VV news?

So's the Super Smash Bros. series, yet last I checked, they didn't include blood splatter or bruising and all of that stuff (not even with Solid Snake, Bayonetta, and/or the Castlevania characters, and the franchises they were from weren't exactly family entertainment), nor did they do zoom-ins of someone being punched hard in the face (and most of the games were rated T anyways, or at best E10). Heck, they didn't add it in for any of the prior DOA fighting games, not even DOA5, and that was when they tried to be more serious about fighting (hence the "I'm a Fighter" tagline). Just because it's a fighting game doesn't mean they absolutely should add loads of blood and sinew, or close-ups of people being hit hard in the face with pained expressions. That's more of a Mortal Kombat kind of thing, anyways. Besides, part of the reason Dead or Alive was created was to act as a lighter and softer series to Ninja Gaiden (that's also the reason why Kasumi was given that name, to represent the softer aspects of that series).

As far as the jiggle physics, the only time I saw any jiggle physics was during the intro to fights and the conclusion for them. They WEREN'T present in, say, the actual gameplay (and I had to look VERY closely to try and detect it). Also, I was referring specifically to this video:

Though, fine, there was MAYBE some brief jiggle right before the fight started, but afterwards, during the actual fighting sequence, I really don't see it at all. And even with the small amount they do show, it's rudimentary and not even all that realistic ESPECIALLY compared to most other engines. Don't believe me? Read this (and just as an FYI, the guy who wrote the article actually has worked with gameplay engines before, so he actually knows what he's talking about): https://www.oneangrygamer.net/2018/...ill-being-in-development-says-shimbori/67446/

And as far as VV news, let's hope it actually IS DOAX3U, or at the very least resuming DOAX3 DLC services. And I'm doubtful the Tamaki outfit and rock climbing, since I'm doubtful they'd release it THAT early, same goes for Rock Climbing, so the only thing that MIGHT be considered an announcement besides obviously DOAX3-related news is Tina's inclusion and/or a new location.

Comparing DoA ( a series that's always had things like murder and blood in some form in it ( Maria getting shot in the forehead, Helena's mother's murder, Bayman stabbing himself in the hand and that one outfit in doa5 you can see blood in when It's wet ) ) having blood/bruises to Super Smash Bros with no things like in it and very child friendly characters like Peach, Mario and Pikachu not having blood seems like an unfair comparison. ( not to mention there actually is blood shown at one point in brawl )

But whatever let's not go super off topic, We can leave the talk of stuff like that to doa6 threads. I'd definitely prefer If this was somehow news related to X3 rather than VV, The thing that's stopping that though Is they seemed very specific that It was related to VV which the only thing I can think would be worth announcing for VV at TGS would be Tina and something. Would be great If it was something like dlc support resuming and stuff being transferable between VV and X3 or something but I doubt it.

I've played Brawl, and I don't recall EVER seeing blood in it. Care to direct me to where this was shown? Besides, I'm pretty sure Brawl had some pretty dark elements such as the fact that the main villains were trying to commit mass-genocide against trophies as well as literally strongarming the supposed main antagonist into doing their bidding by threatening to wipe out his species, and doing so anyway. And while you ARE correct that Super Smash Bros. had games that were geared towards kids like Kirby, Mario, and Pokémon, even Zelda to a certain extent, not all the representatives were from kid friendly franchises. Aside from Metal Gear, Castlevania, and Bayonetta, some more mature games include Metroid and Fire Emblem (that's one of the few RPGs where members of your party actually DIES, which is actually a pretty big rarity among even JRPGs, let alone regular RPGs [probably the only other RPG game I can think of that DOES have player characters actually DIE is the game adaptation of Sweet Home, which was based on a horror movie.].), not to mention Final Fantasy VII in the case of Cloud, even Star Fox to a certain extent, not to mention Earthbound. I can also cite the Dissidia Final Fantasy series, as well, that's a fighting game that lacked blood (and the Final Fantasy series, especially lately, hasn't exactly been very family friendly either). And there's also the Dragon Ball fighting games as well (I know the Budokai Tenkaichi series lacked blood damage, for example, at most having slight bruising or dirt effects). Also, yes, Dead or Alive has had some dark moments (like Raidou crippling Hayate or Maria being shot by Christie), but it overall was meant to be a softer version of Ninja Gaiden, per what Itagaki himself stated (remember, Ninja Gaiden's the same game that infamously had as its game over Ryu about to be cleaved in half by a log cutter).

And to get it back on topic, yeah, there's that little hiccup there as well about how DOAXVV and DOAX3 are technically treated as different series. However, there's always a chance they're going to announce something in connection to DOAX3, since let's face it, even if they are technically separate games, they did reuse most of the characters openings from that game (in fact, the only one I can think of where their opening actually WAS different was Honoka, since her opening in DOAX3 was notably tamer than in DOAXVV [the latter having her literally lose her top thanks to an accident involving her inflatable orca].). Well, Tina being announced definitely would be very good news, and not just because she's been excluded from DOAX3 thanks to a stupid wallpaper poll (I'd divulge more, but that would require me to get into DOA6 which I'm not going to go any further there).

Oh honestly It's not anything super massive but remember the Taboo guy at the end of the story, There's a bit where he stabs master hand with all of these needle things that stick into his knuckles, When master hands collapse onto the ground his knuckles are covered in blood. Again It's not anything huge I only remember it cause It stood out seeing that when I was younger since I didn't expect it in a smash bros game. With Smash bros though with characters like Bayonetta I feel like they feel they have to tone them down a little bit when they get added to smash bros to not ramp up the age rating or something, so they don't show the more mature themes of those games in smash bros. ( Like them covering up Bayonetta more in smash bros 4 and stuff )

And yeah the poll was stupid and will always be a dumb idea, I don't see why all the girls couldn't have been included but oh well, If It was just Tina being added to VV I would still be happy to finally see Tina make her return to the Xtreme series after being missing from X3 but yeah I'd definitely prefer If it was like X3 dlc support and the vv stuff was going over to X3.

Oh, right, that bit with Master Hand. But as you said, it's minor-scale. And yeah, they toned down some of the more mature characters down, like Bayonetta becoming clothed when she summons things, or how Snake's "neck snaps" don't even kill the opponent [not to mention not using blades or firearms, and even the military hardware he does use is more cartoonish in effect].). And quite frankly, DOA barely had that much blood or even that much violence, even WITH the stuff you mentioned.

We can agree about the poll. It doesn't make sense either, especially when DOA5LR's PS4 version more than proved that DOAX3 was very much capable of handing all fifteen girls. I can understand why the VF girls, Mai Shiranui, Naotora Ii, and Phase 4 were excluded since they're guest characters from other franchises (and unlike Ninja Gaiden which is in fact set in the same universe as DOA, they aren't even connected to DOA), and in the case of Phase 4, is a literal Kasumi clone, and they are generally Persona non Grata from the DOA games especially when they're more living weapons. But the other girls definitely didn't deserve to be excluded. Well, only way to find out is to see TGS 2018, which reminds me, when IS DOAXVV going to be covered at TGS? Is it the 20th, the 21st, the 22nd, or the 23rd?
