P.S looks like they added new character to VV

"Fiona is described as a soft and fluffy, big-breasted princess."

So the question is does anyone think this might be the new female character that hasn't been revealed for doa6 yet? Personally I doubt she is and I think it will be another new character but who knows.

Not even TN could make an announcement as anti-climatic as this.
Pretty sure the main point of this year's DoA festival is to reveal the new girl… and then they reveal it's the purple haired chick that you've already seen 2 months ago. Even I think the marketing department is more competent than that.

Team Ninja flatout said none of the VV girls are going to be added to DOA6. It's probably better to add "for now", because you never really know, lol. But for now we are safe.
What people forget all the time and what I repeat everytime: The VV girls are not fighters, they are not designed to fight but to look and act cute/sexy, pandering to a very specific waifu lover crowd. The only and very honest thing they were able to say about Fiona was: "a soft and fluffy, big-breasted princess", and that's all there is to her.

she certainly suit the mousepad and plus shimbori said she's big in a certain part of the body.

Be careful what you wish for...

Yeah thats what I was thinking was that surely If there's the new doa6 character they'd reveal her for doa6 first before anything like doaxvv etc. And yeah they said no doaxvv characters In doa6. So I guess we'll have to wait until November before we see the new doa6 character. ( hopefully we get some kind of reveal in October )

Edit: omg lol @Tyaren that image is terrifying! XD

Except here's the problem with your logic and those on GameFAQs, the DOA Reddit and R/Kappa who believe they are the majority:

They aren't. You don't seem to realize that as much as they are the ones who complain about the fanservice being the series' core identity(which makes about as much sense as nothing at all) and thus stifling it in any matter is wrong... You miss how little it actually matters to those who play it... because they love the series for everything else.

I think you are underestimating the casual crowd. They definitely are not the minority of consumers for this franchise.
You could see this proven when the reveals at the beginning did not please people, literally every forum had negative stuff to say about doa (steam, reddit, twitter, facebook, youtube, gamefaqs etc etc)

Now that we've seen Honoka/MR etc more fanservicy stuff revealed, this negative stuff has been reduced. You could say that the general reception for news has been more approved now that we have both of "this and that"

But one thing is certain is that the whale consumers for the dlc that will eventually come out are the casuals, that is plain obvious. And TN will bring out the dlc train out again (If not at launch, at least when koei realizes that less lewd stuff isn't selling as well lol).

I'd say your avarage doa player expects at this point to have fanservice in their game. How much, hard to say at this point after the doa 5 dlc extravaganza lol.

But ye, that's just common sense at this point

"Fiona is described as a soft and fluffy, big-breasted princess."

and ye I doubt she would be the new character lol, It's things like this that kinda undermine the whole "we're serious fighting game".

I know the ppl who work VV are not the same that do on DOA6, but It's essentially the same franchise.

People care way too much about fake tities.

People care about boobs xD

I think it's too simple to just split DOA's consumer base into "hardcore" and "casual", because the people on the boards you mentioned are not what I would call casual gamers. They may not go to tournaments or spend an insane amount of time learning the game, but following pre-release content and discussing it online in great detail far exceeds the description of a casual gamer.

For me, a casual gamer is the person who bases his purchases on ratings from mainstream media like IGN or review aggregation sites, on appealing advertisments, a nice cover etc., maybe watches some YouTube trailers here and there. And this is were the majority of the sales come from. Let's say DOA5 sold one million copies since its release: where do most of these sales come from? Certainly not from people spending their time complaining about boob-shaped polygons on internet message boards. This whole discussion about jiggle or no jiggle, smaller boobs and "evil SJWs" ruining DOA takes place in a bubble that never reaches the majority of consumers unless it turns into a shitstorm as big as the one that hit the new Battlefield game, which even got picked up by mainstream media. For that to happen, DOA is not big enough.

This whole debate is fueled by a vocal minority that inhabits a certain part of the internet and communicates mostly in memes and buzzwords. It does not reflect the general coverage of the game, which has been quite positive.

Listen, I'm going to drop this subject and everyone here should honestly follow suit. It's been close to 4 months of this, let's just drop it for heavens' sake.

Uh oh, we're on this subject again o_O

P.S looks like they added new character to VV

P.S P.S: I can use my old post as quote just to show what happens on FSD when someone brings up fanservice debate

:thumbs up:

She does look okay but as stated, they aren't going to be added to DOA6 and it's obvious that the girl will be shown at the DOA Festival since that's where most eyes will be at.

Yeah that is the definition of a casual gamer for sure.
Though I think that majority of doa6 sales will come from returning players rather than new (which I based my point on).

I've seen couple of individuals spamming twitter etc with the same crap nonstop. But the amount of outcry that was literally everywhere earlier certainly was not a minority impression (doubt It was majority either, but somewhere in between).

Like I said doa players have gotten use to fanservice from doa1 to 5, when it suddenly disappears they started complaining
