  • -Unpopular opinion- I might be the only one who thinks Jann Lee's moves need to be changed into a firm and fluid style than jerky and shaky.

Yeah, that is an unpopular opinion alright lol. Think the only thing I have for him is getting his old VA back from the older games (it was cool hearing them.)

Well i mean. it's Jeet Kune Do. It's NOT a firm and fluid style.

@Argentus Jeet Kune Do is a firm and fluid style. Look how Bruce Lee punches and kicks compared to how Jann Lee does it. He snaps them solid while being smooth. He doesn't shake and jerk like Jann Lee. Same goes for the other Bruce Lee based characters like Fei Long, Marshall Law, Liu Kang, and Jacky Bryant. I know Jann Lee is only self-taught instead of being officially trained, but he still needs those firmness.
Game devs nowadays: Let's nerf this because new players don't know how to deal with it yet, even though it's not that OP.

If you'll just practice, you'll become better at it. Other fighting games have their own difficult stuff, too. Like "just frames" which is a universal term of a difficult move that requires 1 frame of precise timing to perform. It's difficult, but once you get the hang of it, it feels really good because it feels like overcoming a challenge that is like climbing a mountain.

Yeah but most people don't play Fighting Games to fight against the controls.... thats what single player games are for.

Also practice will only get you so far.... Somethings are simply impossible for most people.

Soccer Spirits did this with the character Cashlove because "not enough people were using her"... they should've buffed her then? Also, I've quit the game, but they'll probably nerf Damien for the same reasons.

Dead or Alive has the best graphics of all 3D fighting games. DOA3 as a 2001 game, looks like a 2004 game. Tekken 7 looks like a 2007 game.

I see. It does look good on PC, but the graphics on PS4/XB1 don't look that good to me. I like Tekken 6 and Tekken Tag 2's hair and skin textures better than Tekken 7. It's normal for most casual players and new players to think that Tekken 7's graphics look good on PS4/XB1, but it looks bland to many hardcore veterans like me. Some characters have hair that looks like plastic such as Lili, Bryan, and others.

Well Namco had to do what they had to do to get the game to run Smoothly at 60FPS.... I think thats admirable.
Fighting games online tend to be buggy compared to offline. The mechanics and hitboxes become erratic; I got hit from where I shouldn't be.

Yeah, exactly what they said, it's a back-turned attack.

I meant his 466+P+K Tetsuzankou, not the BT one. I'm getting confused here because I wrote the notation that it's b,f,f+P+K.

Akira's got two of them. Theres the B,F,F P+K one and another one if you manage to slip behind him... his Back Turned one is significantly Faster.
Dumbing down fighting games is a sin. Fighting games are hard and technical for a reason.

Yes.... they're hard because the developers hate us.

I kinda like it better when it's hard. Because the learning curve of the game rewards to those who put a lot of effort into improving their skills with the game that was driven by their competitiveness and passion towards the game.

Then they should it make it an option. Those of us who aren't Daigo can play without the execution barrier and the players with Faster Fingers can have their One Frame links and whatever.

    Everybody Wins :)
I remember back then in Tekken 7, I lost a match because of a glitch. My opponent was able to block while back turned xD

You havent seen a mid-air into counter hold... yet!

I find older games more fun to play than new ones because 75% of the PS4/XB1 games lack content and other stuff. I still play 2008 games.

The TV shouldn't be stretching any 4:3 games to 16:9, unless you have it set to do so.

Also, I should warn you to identify which revision your Xbox is. If it isn't a 1.6, you need to open it and remove the clock capacitor immediately. If you don't, it will destroy the motherboard.

The original Xbox was weird; technologically it was ahead of its time and blew the other two consoles out of the water. 2003's SoulCalibur 2 is in 720p on the Xbox (looks not too far off from the 720p SCIIHD remaster on PS3), whereas it looks a lot inferior on the PS2 or Gamecube. A game like that still looks great on the Xbox whereas the PS2 version looks blurry as fuck in comparison.

@Forlorn Penguin I see. I didn't know it had HD games. Though most of the games I played on the original Xbox were pretty much non-HD games. I never owned an original Xbox; I only played it from a friend because I was a PS2 player back then before I got a Xbox 360. Thanks for the heads up about the clock capacitor though.
It does make me feel left out when I see someone say "DOA5 is dead" because I'm a new player. But I understand why because it's 5 years old.
