  • I still don't know how to be funny. When I make a joke, everyone thinks I'm serious or I'm just corny.
Sometimes I like it better that most Tekken fans don't like DOA. Imagine how much stupidity they'll bring in to the community if they do.

I could say the same for other FGC. Most people who only play Street Fighter look down on Mortal Kombat because that's the culture of their FGC, but the player who plays both (or not, but plays more than just Street Fighter) doesn't.

Not all of them though. There's an exception to everything.

I understand what @Shirataki Tsume is getting at. Most Tekken fans (i.e The ones that mostly play just Tekken) tend to be massive condescending assholes. However people that play multiple FG's and thus understand other FG's tend to have a more open mentality within the FGC. I find that the playerbase from a more mainstream/popular FG tend to attract a lot of douchebags compared to more niche fighters.

Thanks for explaining that in a clearer way. My English is mediocre with below average vocabulary.
Your biggest efforts and accomplishments will be ignored, but they will judge you for your smallest mistake as if they never did it.

When I played Soul Calibur for 2 weeks straight and go back to Tekken, Tekken's movement feels like ass. Keep forgetting to b,b and f,f.

Because of course, Soul Calibur has the fastest movement of all 3D fighting games, but not the most versatile. There's no need to press a directional button twice to dash, but only forward and backward dash can be cancelled.

And thats why I can't stand Tekken.... among other things.

It takes some hand/finger dexterity to become decent with Tekken's movement. It took me 30 minutes to regain my backdash canceling and wavedashing skills. I'm not really a Mishima player, but I use them to force myself to get good at fundamentals since they require more brain cells to play than most of the characters.

When I started playing DOA5 and observed its mechanics, it made me realize that DOA4's game play was bonkers. Random holds out of nowhere.
I'm one of the minority who likes tag in fighting games. Maybe because I've played tag fighters in the past. X-Men vs SF being my first.

I didn't mind it in Tag 2 or Mortal Kombat 9 but I wasn't too familiar with the mechanics seeing as I was more casual with the game. I guess my biggest casual pet peeve is that they haven't made tag-friendly versions for other stages in DOA.

I didn't know Mortal Kombat 9 had tag. I mean I'm not a fan of Mortal Kombat since the last time I played Mortal Kombat was 11 years ago or something, and I was still a kid back then.

What do you mean "tag-friendly versions for other stages"? There are stages that aren't good for playing tag?
I took a look at posts from threads on 2016 and earlier. Totally regret it. I'm gonna get a brain tumor and heart disease Lol

I had a really busy week and I got tired, so I kept on sleeping outside of my will. IRL is draining me.
Anime episodes are becoming shorter and shorter. Where did the average 30+ episodes go? I don't even watch anime anymore.

@Lulu Naruto had tons of filler episodes. There was a time that the anime had 2 months of filler episodes. As far as I remember, it was the time when Rin died.

I'm surprised at how many episode Naoki Urusawa's Monster got I really didn't expect it.
He asked me, which do I like better, Soul Calibur IV or V. I like IV for the game play, roster, and fleshed out move sets. I like V for the-

-soundtracks and stages. SCV was mediocre, but it had some good qualities in it, and definitely not the game play, even though the characters that were slow in SCIV are now faster in SCV. Siegfried's movement was slow in SCIV while Nightmare's movement was fast, and both of them are similar in style. In SCV, both of them have equal movement speed as well as everybody else except Voldo.
I actually lost trust with Aris's opinions when he said Soul Calibur V was complicated when that's the most dumbed down Soul Calibur game.

VF's execution is more tied to it's buffering system. KOF is another good example.

VF's layout is almost similar to that of direct arcade build. If you do 33 inputs in VF with a pad, the game will register it as 3223. It may or may not come out, but it's not as lenient to DOA when it comes to it.

Do Ryu's Izuna Drop in DOA. You can rotate in a circle in so many ways that the move will still come out. Put Ryu in VF and it may just be the hardest input ever existed.

Yeah, I kinda noticed when I play Akira in VF and DOA. His 246P feels harder to do in VF as well as his 1 frame knee. But VF's notations overall are really advanced. Almost every character I've played has at least one just frame move or a weird directional input. It's like trying to perform Ivy's Calamity Symphony.
I wish I can transfer my Xbox data to my PC. I don't like buying new consoles just to play a newer game from a newer generation and engine-

Whut? Of course they do, I just want to play them on PC because consoles become obsolete over time.

    Lulu
Well maybe some of them can retrieve your console save progress and carry them over to pc should you decide to buy the PC Versions.

Thats how the UWP Games work... I think.
I really wouldn't be so judgmental about the game if I don't know how to play it. Why is it the game's fault if he keeps losing?
    Lulu
    Lulu
Because I can't handle losing there for its never my fault.

Atleast thats what I tell myself when I get my ass whooped in Street Fighter.

I also use the "It Was Lag" excuse for when I got pummeled in DoA... :p
    Shirataki Tsume
    Shirataki Tsume
I don't think lag has something to do with the game's game play, it's more on the internet connection or terrible netcode.

    Lulu
Yeah but people place alot of value in them online Rankings...

So they tend to take losses rather personally.
