As a player who originally was already playing Tekken before DOA I don't think DOA players should switch per say, why not just play both? XD

Also most DOA players from what I observed dont like/hate on tekken for silly strange reasons, in which case I feel they shouldn't play if the game is not for them and if all they'll do is complain and call it "braindead" when Tekken is just as deep

If you're into 3D fighters in general, definitely give Tekken 7 a chance. If you're experienced with DOA5LR and good at it, you'll transition into Tekken 7 ok, though you'll need to learn the differences in the intricacies of the systems. In DOA you tend to develop your 3D meta game, which I find helps out in learning Tekken (though proper movement & utilization of tools feels more emphasized in T7).

However, IMHO, just play both. DOA helps out with the meta game aspect of 3D fighters (i.e. the thought process during a fight), whereas Tekken helps out more with spacing/movement and fishing for launchers/combo starters.

Ironically, the reason why I'm here is because of Tekken 7. I didn't like Tekken 7 at all, so I moved to DOA since last year, hehehehe...
