  • I always see a lot of people say that Momiji uses Aikido. I thought Aikido and Daito-ryu Aikijujutsu is not the same thing?

Sometimes when practicing aikido, I do a pretty twirl and engulf my opponent in flames. When I'm not doing double-jump backflips over their heads, that is.

If I recall correctly, TN had stated that her moveset would be based on aikido prior to 5U's launch, but yeah, it isn't. They also said that Marie's would be based on systema, but it's not.

People tend to have this same issue with Geese Howard in a manner of speaking: He does practice a form of Aikido, but as far the lore goes, he had to learn a lot more strike-based abilities (and Kobujutsu) to balance out this fighting style.

the Aquaduct level with the fight with Paz Zuu because I did not consume a spirit elixir as insurance. (Boss was low on health so I thought I could just finish it in two or three hits).

That must be frustrating.... but you knew what you signed up for.
You know someone is a terrible teacher when he is disliked by everyone he teaches and turns into somewhat a meme within the school.

He basically turned into a meme after one of my Year One Semester 2 classmates turned his face into a sprite for personal use and shared it with everybody.

I see now, I understand why he’s a meme now. I hate teachers that always change the subject like, don’t be so chaotic.

That is... very hard to hear... how did things even get to that point.
I found out why I hate the Spirit Doku boss fight in NG so much. I had no idea it was possible to escape his grapples by mashing buttons.
After completing Ninja Gaiden on Very Hard mode, I decided to go try normal mode again. It felt like a walk in a park.

Now time for me to continue attempting to beat the first chapter of Master Ninja difficulty.

That was the beauty of Ninja Gaiden when I first played through it. Labouring through the first playthrough on Normal; labouring even more through the next playthrough on Hard; and then playing through Normal again and coasting through it.

Itagaki tried to work a similar magic in DOA4 by having the lowest difficulty setting at "Normal" and making it just as hard as DOA2U on Very Hard. It unfortunately didn't work out as well due to how cheap the AI was in DOA4 compared to Ninja Gaiden. Thus completely a playthrough in DOA4 didn't feel nearly as rewarding in comparison.
I cringed when one of my classmates called Ninja Gaiden "Ninja Gay-den".

I did specifically added the "No offense" because I was afraid something like this will happen. Got to apologise to her when she comes back to this site.

You don’t have to, I’m sure she realizes that you didn’t mean it that way.
I really wonder who thought it was a good idea to give the Vigoorian Berserkers that stupid land mine attack in Sigma...

It becomes a pain in the ass whenever I try to do jumping/wall jump attacks.

I really love Momiji's overall character design, but her moveset looks complete ass and boring and is in a need of an overhaul.

agreed, her strike look one dimensional..boring.

Aside from being slapped together from other movesets, my main issue with Momiji's moveset is the lack of versatility with it. Feels like she has less potential tech than a lot of the cast. It's even worse when compared to someone like Ayane or Mila whom can have a lot of tech.

I really hope that they’ll give her more moves in 6. Momiji is a good character but her small moveset is what’s making her mediocre. Same with Raidou, he could’ve been better too if they gave him more moves.
Which do you think are the most poorly designed bosses and stages in the first Ninja Gaiden(Xbox)?

@Project Bokuho. There is actually a very effective way to deal with the ghost fish with the Dragon Sword. Jump foward + X command every time. You get invicibility frames while still being able to kill at least some of them. A bit of a tedious process though, but I was able to go through the entire maze without losing health to the ghost fish.

Also, I am rather surprised no one thought the military base level was one of the poorly designed stages due to the fact that the usage of the bow has too happen often.

The stage is ok, not as tedious as the Moat of Zarkhan or Vengeful Spirit chapters, but yeah, The Military Supply Base is one of the weaker chapters overall. The issue is more so with how aggravating the tank bosses are to fight. Taking down the radio control tower can also be annoying on higher difficulties. If I wanted to play an FPS I'd play an FPS.
Tried out Baldur's Gate 2. Damn, that game really teaches to git gud.

Yeah Bioware was good before EA bought them out. In typical EA form, everything they touch eventually turns to shit.

True. It's good that Dragon Age Origins was close to being completed when EA bought them, otherwise that game would not be a "spiritual successor" to Baldur's Gate that Bioware said.

So far, I have not found a game where their lore is a bigger clusterfuck than the Elder Scrolls series.

Lol no. Those series don't even come close at all. Did you even play the old Elder Scrolls games, or even got involved in the lore community?

Trying to design the story is already difficult enough and I totally gave up trying to create it with all that coding and scripting.
