Free Step Dodge

Probably a Desperate Opportunist who just wanted some change...

I was parked far back in the lot about 55-70 yards from one of the establishments I frequent in my line of work, so my car was pretty isolated. I went inside to pick up an order for about 10 minutes, only to return to my front passenger side window smashed in. Naturally, my wallet, which I left in the cupholder was taken, but luckily nothing else.

Jokes on him, because he got nothing from his little endeavor, as I had cancelled my debit card mere moments after getting back to my car, and had no cash on me. The bank confirmed that there were no transactions made and I had the same amount of money I started the day with.

I lost my wallet, driver's license, my company credit card and a few gift cards, but nothing else. All of which are easily replaced.

Moral of the story, travel as lightly as possible, and take better care of your possessions (especially wallets/purses). Also a reminder to be vigilant and protect yourself.

I like how you handled yourself... I would have panicked.
