team ninja ripped off fromsoft, fromsoft ripped off team ninja, balance i guess. that said that hookshot arm looked pretty cool, hopefully it's not some contextual BS you get use only twice in the game or something

I'm sure they'll fuck it up somehow. From has had nearly a decade to figure out how to make good gameplay and as of Dark Souls 3, they're still pretty far off.

From Software is a pretty overrated developer. They fortunately struck gold with Demon's Souls and their profiled raised from there. Team Ninja is a miles better developer than From Software and it really showed in Nioh.

ah demon souls, that game is so weird, it's like dark souls but even more busted and obtuse. Frankly i'd prefer it Team Ninja stopped ripping off Fromsoft and Fromsoft stopped ripping off it's self and both these companies come up with some original IP, or revive some old IP, like where the hell is armored core? still waiting on that shit

I'd like to see Nioh continue, just with less Souls influence (ie: no checkpoint enemy respawns, xp graves, etc.). Nioh is still easily my favorite game of the current console generation.

Then again i guess sekiro is original ip but come on, a samurai fighting demons in fuedal japan? that shit is soooooooooooooo played out

i dont know what i want from nioh, after beating it once months ago i gave it another shot and it still doesn't grip me. and it's totally a game i should like, it's from a developer i like ripping off another developer i like in a genre that i like, so why am i not totally in love with it, i dunno, maybe a sequel will convert me, but we'll see

Team Ninja have developed a crapton of different games of pretty good quality so they don't need to "branch out". From Software has only pretty much made Demon's Souls clones the last 9 or so years. I too would like a Nioh 2, with majority of the "Souls" influences gone such as the aforementioned checkpoint enemy respawns and XP grave reclaiming nonsense.

Still can't believe you don't like Nioh, Camel. You play it in 60FPS? That game seems like your jam all over.

Maybe... although its possible Seriko was already a concept before Nioh was eveb revealed.

Well, technically Nioh's development began years before Demon's Souls.

Its crazy how lucky long developers can sit on their ideas before they can find someone willing to green light them.

I like how its pretty much Tenchu but with action based combat like if Souls was a fast paced character action game.
