The second mechanic that you should master is map awareness, knowing where the enemy team is is a huge help in league. It tells you whether it's safe to push a lane or if you can travel safely between the lanes. This is even more important for junglers since they travel a lot across the map and it is important for them to keep track of the enemy jungler so they know it's safe to help a lane and not get counter-ganked

The third mechanic is skillshots, almost every champ has a skillshot and some kits even resolve around it. On these champs it's crucial to have accurate aim. The last mechanic I want to talk about is controlling the lane phase. Probaly one of the hardest mechanics to master the more you play the game

It is really complex so I'm sorry if my explanation is vague. In a lane it's important to know whether u can trade with the enemy, play agressive/safe against the enemy and if you have lethal. The late game is hugely decided by the outcome of the laning phases, you'll know if you did well if you're ahead of the enemy lane by kills and/or gold. Junglers can help lanes that are doing bad

As for my opinion about the targeted audience... I think League is an enjoyable game for kids-young adults so around 9-25. League's community consists mostly of those in that age group.

Eye to hand coordination is very important in this game indeed. No matter what situation you're in whether it involves a farming situation or teamfight situation, it is important to immediately calculate the best response immediately and transmit that into the game. And in League there are a lot of these occassion so eye to hand coordination plays a big role.

My emotions depend on my team and how the game is going. Generally speaking, I am mostly a chillax guy that also tries his best to win the game. But when it goes bad in the game I am more frustrated especially when Im playing ranked. In ranked the mood is way more competitive which is why most people who just play for fun avoid it. With competitiveness comes toxicity

@Bacaww I appreciate that you took your time to address my post, it is somewhat helpful but not entirely, still I appreciate it. Btw, mastering the map awareness is not a game mechanic while controlling the lane phase is somewhat debatable(thought it may just be the way you explain it), just to let you know, as it does not involve interacting with the game. I hope @The Spine has some better answers.

My experience of game design is on the lower end so if you were hoping for answers more in that direction then im sorry, I have been playing the game for 6 years so far so I thought answering your questions would be managable

Nah, don't worry about it. It's okay, I just seriously hope I don't have to actually play the game to analyse it. (as I still have a few more games to study, one of them being a PS3 exclusive)

Sorry, I haven't had internet in a while. I did not read the other posts, just your questions. The mechanics are pretty simple. In all of the main game modes, the objective is the same. Both teams have a base (nexus) and the goal is to destroy the opponent's nexus.
The Spine
The Spine
Different maps have different obstacles (other than the opposing players, obviously) that the players must overcomes in order to destroy the nexus, such as tower structures and A.I. that follow a specific path.

For each individual player, the character they choose are given four spells, a level system, 6 item slots, health, mana, and resistances statlines and such. Each character begins at level 1, and gain XP throughout the game to reach the max level, 18.
The Spine

They only have access to 1 spell at level 1, and throughout the leveling process, they may learn new spells and upgrade the current ones learned as well. Of course, health and mana increases as a character levels up well.

As the game goes on, characters do gain "gold," which is the way you purchase items for the 6 slots. These items can enhance your own stats (such as damage), assist your allies passively (vice versa for opponents), and sometimes even give you a new spell.

There are a lot of minute details in League, but these are just the basic mechanics of how the game works. I'll go on to answer some of the more subjective questions.

I would describe the setting as fantasy, if we're referring to the game modes and UI design of the game itself. Characters can sometimes have an entirely different design motif, but I feel things are relatively close to fantasy.

Hand-eye coordination is important, but not as a general skill in order to play the game effectively. The amount needed varies from character to character in order to keep the game more accessible. Note, this game is very accessible.

Demographic is probably from 15-35 year old males, in my opinion. Emotions that are felt are usually ones of triumph, despair, relief, excitement, and perhaps tranquility. It's a bit of a slower game. However, the competitive emotions felt remain the same.

I hope I wasn't too late for things. I'm very sorry I couldn't get to you sooner. I hope this answers some of your questions and it was useful to you. If you have more, feel free to DM me or @ me.
