Wanna compare MvCI to another fighting game? Look at what happened to SCV as well. Both were made on a shoestring budget, had abysmal story modes, had very little to no single-player content, had utterly disappointing rosters, had little to no marketing, etc.

What makes even less sense is that both SCVI and DOA6 are not out yet, and that DOA6 was announced two month ago...

TN knows how to make a good DOA.

It makes sense only when 2d and 3d fighting games can be compared in the first place, btw @Ceviche is also right.

I wouldn't jump to conclusion of DOA6 being a worthwhile sequel to DOA5, when we haven't seen anything yet. The whole comparison is mainly due to what each game has to offer in terms of content people want in DOA6 vs SCVI terms its the costumes and the potential chances of sales & tournament spots. Even though DOA6 is more incomplete compare to SCVI.

DOA6 so far is taking a more tone down approach, focusing on Esport scene, and following world trends which would make Me more worried on what DOA6 unlockables & DLC is going to be like, Unless they pull a DOA5 move where DLC is the one they go overtop with sex appeal.

The one thing I'm looking forward to DOA6 is giving feedback on what kind of costume I want to see in DOA6.

I agree with @Kasumi-Phase-X I just edge on the side of optimism. The DOA franchise as a whole gets a lot of shade thrown at it both from within it's own community and from a great deal of the FGC as a whole. A level of shade that SC never really receives. No matter how DOA6 comes out to some people SCVI will be superior in all regards but especially fanservice.
