I feel the more I use her the more I'm convinced she's probably the worst DOA character (Nao don't count) in this game but also I think I'm playing her wrong. Since she's unlocked for a few more days, I figure I try to learn as much as I can.
6K > ducking > K > 66P+K cancel > 236H+K/ 3H+K
If they immediately get up after the cancel it is an unholdable, 236H+K is + so you are at an advantage. If the opponent ducks the kick you are punishable though. But if they dont get up you can do 3H+K and it will force tech them.
Honoka is a good character, people just dont have enough patience with her.
end combo with 6kk>2p
5k during stun >3H+K
when ending a combo against a fullwall with 5P+Kpp>1p
she has some 6t wall unholdables and a teleport that works if you wallsplat your opponent near a halfwall, but i need to find my notes on those. but yeah, honoka's not bad, but she's not super good either, she's just above average
Thanks for the set-ups. I'm honestly one of the more impatient ones. It's mainly cause I'm comfortable with Rig and I feel for what I have to do with Honoka, I can do almost with Rig more efficient and with less to worry about. But thanks indeed. I'ma lab that.
Yeah. I felt at the time her frames up close weren't good and I was relying on alot of 6h+k, 3k4, & 66p+k to try to catch a whiff and stun. But hopefully by what I learned, I can be more comfortable with her up close.
When I fought you I noticed that you don’t really apply your knowledge in the fight. You know Honoka is a 9 framer with shitty range, why did you make the wonderful decision to space?
