    And if that means costumes will be more expensive then so be it, a welcome trade off. I mean hell I'm one of the fools who actually bought one of those season passes to get 1 costume so u know I'm crazy and would drop some dosh for a look I really like

    Well those 70-ish costumes from Ayane & Kasumi still look better than Tekken 7 or SoulCalibur VI's visuals. Whether they're "good" or not is subjective. And yeah, DOA5's DLC costumes are still relatively cheaper than the costumes in other fighters by comparison.

    If prices go up, that's influenced by inflation. Unless they required more resources to produce.
    So, doa5 Ein mains, who are you going to main in doa6? Hayate, Hitomi, or a completely different character?

    Would go with Hitomi if I had to choose. Something about Hayate just keeps me from wanting to touch him. Can't put my finger on it...

    I say neither, I only liked hayate in doa3 (never liked the way he played in doa4 or doa5) and I'm physically incapable of playing hitomi ( she's so similar to ein that I just ending playing her like she's ein, ignoring her own stuff), so I'm going for the whole new character route, Diego looks like my type of guy and nyo is comming back so I have those 2 to look forward to at least

    See, I have the opposite problem with Hitomi... in that I feel she's too different from Ein in that I try to do stuff I'd do as Ein but it won't work cuz she doesn't have it or because her move has different properties. (Good examples being 1K and 46P)
    watching Knee lose 6 rounds in a row was rough, but reading the comments defending him and coming up with excuses for his loss is endlessly entertaining

    been watching alot of the newish doa6 footage, and there seem to be alot of instances where the sidestep attack is putting the sidestepper right behind the opponent, or dam near close to it

    I thought at EVO'18 it looked like normal sidesteps can almost circle behind opponents too. Either way, I like having an SS that doesn't get fucked by "linear" attacks anymore.

    Yeah I imagine a lot of ppl are gonna be mad at this show given that it has no qualms being ultra violent and brutal to its moe girl leads. It's to be expected
    think i'll just main Bayo and Cloud in smash ultimate. why learn 80+ match ups with fun low tiers when i can just pick the characters with the most oppressive options who also happen to be fun

    The reason why it's like that is because of the input buffer window on moves to allow for leniency on the reading of inputs/directions. For instance Tekken doesn't have much of an input buffer so moves connect on the given frame i.e. -10 can be punished by i10. As a result Tekken has much less leniency and more pickiness on move inputs.

    In DOA, only the guard executes without a frame delay. The throw being 1 frame 'slower' is because of the frame for registering a 'hit' happened. Basically DOA is honest about its frame data. In other games they have the same 1 frame difference to register a hit, but they just hide it by including that first frame as the last startup frame. For DOA, attacks are an additional frame because of the string system.

    The string system waits a frame to make sure you aren't hitting P then H for a T attempt due to mistiming, or that you meant to do 3K when you pressed K3.

    I don't think i've heard it, but he's always said some funny stuff in the past. For example in the first Evo tournament for SF4 his plan was to choose Seth against Daigo should they meet because "He probably hasn't had the match up experience.". I find it funny because while technically maybe true, he's choosing his game plan to be both a guess and a reaction to the opponent's style over his own style.
    Tira's moves that drain her own health better have some awesome frame data , I need this game in my hands!

    Probably similar to how she is in SCV. And yes, she generally has good frame data/hit properties to compensate. Gloomy Tira was basically the best character in SCV.
