At casual play I would say 3-4 since she can get away with alot with little effort. At high level I would say 5-6 because you have to be mindful of when you're BT and you have to manage a forward and backwards facing moveset. She's challenging but she's no Brad Wong or Helena who are way more execution heavy/have larger move sets
hmmmm i would say 6 if you're just trying to learn a couple of basic combos.. and i think a strong 8/9 when getting into her mobility, pressure, setups and harder combos..
Thanks for the responses so far. Overall, I like @Dabluprint4's perspective with regards to 'mobility, pressure, setups' and "harder combos" to a lesser extent.
@KasumiLover's perspective with "casual play" is interesting because Ayane can indeed dominate a lot at a low level where the opponents don't properly respond to the character. On a different note, Brad Wong is indeed challenging, but I wouldn't really call him "execution heavy". He just has a very large moveset and a lot of stances (which would probably still garner a "9" for difficulty from me).
Similar case with Helena, though to a lesser extent. Her moveset is deceptively complex, but her execution isn't particularly challenging in itself. It's moreso a case of managing her stances/techniques (including knowing when to BKO~duck for instance). In comparison, Ayane's weird because at times I can't tell whether the character is "too easy" or "too hard", that's why I wanted to gauge her perceived difficulty.
