  • To all Hayabusa players: After a 3P+K~P+K force tech, is it a better option to go for a PP or a 6P?

Because everyone crushes highs when backturned, and I'm not confident that the random frame data gods will make my jab guaranteed.

Yeah I suppose 6P since it does eliminate two of the options. If they attack (which would be the worst decision) they'll get placed in a stun with your mid while being +10, if they crouch block they'll get hit by the mid. If they continue blocking, 6P is your poke.

Can't say everyone though lol. Someone people will actually just sit there turned around and block because of the advantage.

Hmm... that was pretty insightful. I still have much to work on.
Is there a limited number of refloats you can do to your opponent? Because I found out that no matter on what threshold launch...

Yeah there maybe multiple weight classes but once you hit any opponent more than three times in Midair. Then they will plummet like Anvils, including Alpha.

Interesting, I did not know the maximum was three times.

LoL.... 3 not the absolute max.... thats just a Guideline for safe juggles.

Characters with Rebounding moves have slightly different limitations.
Is Ein a shit character in general? Probably. But he is S tier when using him to fight against level 8 AI in time attack mode.

@Force_of_Nature idk why, Ein and Hitomi feel and play almost completely different.

One of the main reasons I can play Ein perfectly fine but struggle with Tomi
    Force_of_Nature
    Force_of_Nature
@UpSideDownGRUNT Hitomi's a bit of a hybrid keepout/rushdown character whereas Ein is almost entirely keepout. Basically if you play Hitomi completely like Ein, you won't optimize her strengths (though it can still be effective if the opponent can't get in on you anyway). I also suspect that you jive better with Ein's simplicity and may overthink things with Hitomi.
Thanks to my muscle memory, I just found out that doing the Raijin input in ceiling stages is also acceptable for the Nakiryu.
I'm going to start grinding the timings on Leon's throws so I can make people salty in Home.

*Sniffs* Don't do it man! O_O. Ah what the hell, 214P~T, *run at opponent 2T or running T*, rinse & repeat until sufficient salt has spilled on the floor.
Apparently Hayate's taunts are really snarky in general and are meant to be directed against players that abuse online lag.

Normally while the P of the 3H+KKP is easily holdable in offline, it is impossible to do so in online lag. Most of the time I bait my opponents to mid-punch hold so I can go for Hi-counter 12 frame throw. If you can get used to the lag, then the low kick can be easily held.

Hayate doesn't even need 3H+K. That move is really really over abused online. He's got plenty of other tools to win the match. Most Hayate players tend to neglect his other great tools like 4P, 214P, etc. and just 3H+K all over the place lol. There's a reason why he is considered the best character in Japanese tiers.

You don't have to hold the low kick, you can just crouch and low throw it if the opponent always free cancels at that point. 3H+K can be low thrown on free cancel. 3H+KK also can't be delayed so it can be easier to tell if the opponent will finish the string or not. Of course, all of this goes out the window online lol. #3H+K
Online lag is now forcing me to become disloyal to my main.
I really need to rely less on Busa's 214P and WR4KP. Those moves are way too reactable even with online lag.

Especially risky since they no longer grant advantage on guard.

Most stupid move I ever made: Use Raijin when the opponent is at the wall instead of Nakiryu.
    ChaolanLegacy
    ChaolanLegacy
True that, but Raijin is more stylish, whilst it does a bit more damage than Nakiryu(not true when the wall is in play, but...ya know...stylish)
    TheDragonAwakens
    TheDragonAwakens
You know, the since the Raijin is more stylish and one of the most difficult throws in the game, some people may perceive it has being an insult when done near the wall because Nakiryu is much more easier and does more damage.
    ChaolanLegacy
    ChaolanLegacy
Yeah, it could be seen as an insult, although, an average joe most probably wouldn't notice the disrespect, or at least not right away.
I had a few online matches today with a player on the PC and the connection was creepy, because the matches were literally offline timing.
    Force_of_Nature
    Force_of_Nature
That is a scary feeling isn't it? DOA becomes a much different game when stuff is actually reactable.
    TheDragonAwakens
    TheDragonAwakens
Yeah it was scary, but the matches were very comfortable because I was able to pull off the difficult moves consistently eg. Shoho-Izuna. Still, it was the first time I had a connection with another player online that has no delay or lag at all.
Remixes of character themes are supposed to be equally good or better, but... (contd)

They should also add that one track they used for the launch trailer...it was HYPE! I actually thought it was the danger zone stage theme, all that EDM and heavy electronica and wubs, it was RAW!☆

There are plenty of remixes that end up worse then the original for a multitude of reasons.

Remixes of the character themes are always worse. Always.

    Except for Raidou.
So which are the worst/difficult characters to use in bad online lag?

I have to say Jacky, Akira, and Phase 4. No one else really.

@ChaolanLegacy Yeah, the majority of the time I can kind of estimate where "in league" the opponent is to my skill level. Adjusting offense and defense by counting how many times they hit you when you block before they throw, and vice versa with your hits to their blocks can be greatly beneficial in understanding block & throw tactics.

Hayabusa's neutral game is strongly lacking when you get into high-level play. He has no useful NH lows or positive on-guard attacks to apply pressure, and even his zoning game is incredibly risky compared to the competition. His threatening force-techs are also abnormally high-risk, and despite being a pseudo-grappler he doesn't have a conventional 66T OH or parries worth a damn.

Hayabusa is amazing. I don't use him as much anymore because I got bored of his tactics, but everything about him is pretty remarkable. He's not as OP as he use to be, but he still packs a punch.
