  • Does anyone know what the analog command option in DOA2U does?

also i think it only works on original xbox, if you're playing doa2u on 360 it doesn't work

Camel is right. It was an interesting idea, but an absolutely awful one. It also exists in DOAX1 and is much better there (tap A for a weak hit and slam it for a strong one), though I still prefer playing that game with standard controls as well.

And I believe your comment about the 360 is correct too. I recall reading somewhere that the 360 controller doesn't have analog support.

Tried out the analog command. I have to agree it was pretty dumb. I can't even do a single jab or punish throw at all, no matter how light I try to tap the button as possible, it's always on max pressure. The dumbest thing is probably the Izuna drop command. Max pressure T > Max pressure T > max pressure T.
Is it common for the opponent to suddenly be behind Momiji whenever she does 236P or 66PP at the wall?

There are several instances where I pinned my opponent to the wall and then launch them with 236P or 66PP, but for some reason, after the opponent is launched, both characters switch sides and the directional inputs change, causing me to drop my combos, and I end up having my back at the wall instead, it's pretty annoying.
Looking at the characters that I hate, I wonder why did I even like some of them in the past. The same applies to the other way round.
Played DOA2U again today. It reminds me three things...

Well he may not have been the main of the franchise but he was definitely the central character in DOA2. It was all about his return to power as a ninja and regaining his memory while discovering what Project Epsilon.

I hear Ryu whooped his ass still though. Can mess with a half dragon.

Ein had the coolest hold animations? Come on. Clearly you've never seen Bankotsubo land a low kick hold.

And the original Xbox controller S actually had a pretty good dpad. The analog sticks are good too, but you shouldn't use analog sticks for a fighting game.

@Forlorn Penguin Maybe I should have phrased that differently. Ein has the most amount of cool hold animations (low kick hold, low punch hold, high punch hold, and mid punch hold)
Tengu has two cool ones (Low kick hold and punch/kick in air hold)
Busa has cool Izuna holds but the 7 year old me sees them all as one

I find myself better at using the keyboard than the controller lol.
Noticed that after 66K or 6P+K4, the Ongyoin PP follow up does not always cause the opponent to be back turned. Is there a reason for this?

To expand on That, this is a good reason to work on your mixups and decide on some good 50/50 set ups.

Master was one of the first to use BT cancel into 4K. Depending on how much advantage it gives on full slow escape you should work on those.

If the damage is low enough you could either 4k or 6kk. 33P may be too slow but I'm going on tonight so I'll be in the lab working on it.

ONG 66 gives limbo stun on open stance only. same as tina's KP limbo.
    TakedaZX
    TakedaZX
If it doesn't give the limbo stun he only gets +15. What's more is only jab/low jab and bt. 4p hit... technically you could hit him with BT P+K but it's less advantage and the same start up.

If you don't get the limbo be ready for anything.
Random guy asked me: Why is Leon the strongest man in the world and not Hayabusa? Me: Hayabusa's not a man, he's a demi-god.

Well Leon isn't the strongest man in the world, that's just something his wife said before she died and he tries to live up to that claim to honor her. So ryu is the strongest, although I wouldn't go as far as to call him a demi god
    Sotherius

he is not a demi-god, but he isn't 100% human either. The hayabusa lineage comes from a lineage of fiend-human hybrids that rebelled against the fiends and sided with the dragon gods, and thus they received as a gift the dragon sword, made with the bones of dragon gods. The most powerful 100% human character, is possibly Kasumi, and i'm not even joking here.

Lol I was not even expecting for people to take my "Leon is the strongest man in the world" comment seriously.

And I still I don't think there is enough facts to prove that Kasumi is the most powerful human character in the cast but whatever.

Yeah, I hated that region. Gotta be real careful in there. Don't worry you'll get there eventually dude. If it means anything, when you are able to beat Very Hard mode, Master Ninja mode isn't that much more difficult.

Decided to take a look at my saved replays. Didn't realise that majority of them are Busa mirrors with Lvl 8 AI in Lost World stage...

First started off with trying to look cool, followed by trying to beat the AI with only Throw/Hold Izuna drops, then trying to beat it with only Cliff Izuna holds.

So on what situation should Ein's 7K be used over his WRK and 33K?
    Camel with 2 thumbs
    Camel with 2 thumbs
and if they don't counter at all, the stun that precedes it is so deep that it'll hit 'em even if they're SE'ing (fastest SE can bypass it, but it'll highly unlikely that human beings can stagger THAT fast, also it only beats it by 1 frame, so yeah, pretty much guaranteed) the difference in this case is that honoka gets guaranteed 33k launch into w/e combo ender she wants, all ein gets off 7k is 3p into 6kk or pp6pk
    Camel with 2 thumbs
    Camel with 2 thumbs
so yeah 7k can be used to mess with peoples timings, but that's about it
    EmeryReigns
    EmeryReigns
Ein's best launchers from each hit level are 33k (Mid kick) / WRK (High kick) and for mid punch either 9p or Critical burst at the threshold. Ein also has 6h+k that is really fast as a high kick, but doesn't give a big combo. 7k is a mid kick, but the recovery is much longer than 33k, giving you less combo potential.
Really need to get used to Polytechnic life. Took a nap the moment I got back home in the late afternoon, only woke up in the next morning.

I wouldn't buy it, and busa hasn't really helped anyone since DOA3, he told Kasumi to defeat alpha on her own in DOA4 and he sends for Kasumi in the fifth title

Nah, I would make a slight rewrite to this story where Ayane fucks up MIST and Busa gets the day off whereas Momiji continues sweeping the shrine or some shit like a good shrine maiden.
I wonder if TN secretly hates Hayate. He is often shitted upon in the DOA story.
I was proud of myself of beating several Christies in one bar connections and worse, but then I realised I was using Hayate. #3H+K

Tfw you get a great on your opponent on the first round, and then get thrashed afterwards in the next three rounds.
Normally when you practice the timings on the breakable combo throws in training mode, what throw escape speed do you normally set to?
