    Playing multiple characters doesn't make you better in any way than someone who only uses one character. Generally anyone that takes a fighting game somewhat seriously will commit to one character and learn what they can about the character and game. Playing multiple characters is just a different manner of playing the game. If you get bored easily from playing just one character, then that's on you.

    For instance, 99% of the time I play DOA5LR I use Ayane in her Infiltrator costume because it's "My look" when I play the game. I don't get bored with it because I enjoy the character and enjoy the look. DB went over my thoughts on spamming. I.e. You have to learn to deal with it or your opponent has no reason to stop doing it.

    @Force_of_Nature I suppose opinions will be 50/50 on the matter. It's great that you dedicate your time to be the best at one character. I just don't agree with those who belittle those who choose to play multiple characters at an average level.

    If I didn't have my offlines, I never would have improved my game. During the Ultimate days if I had time I could play 100+ matches at once with friends. I didn't feel like my time was being wasted.

    If you have no offline friends, track an arcade that offers you a service to bring in your console. Gives you a chance to preach DOA to others. From my experience, most people that actually give it a chance like it.

    as someone with online only, is quite difficult to manage if you find yourself in this position, but there is always hope to find people with decent enough connections to fight.

    Just don't counter unless you know what's coming or have a good idea of what your opponent will do, eating a juggle is nothing compared to a hi counter throw XD Low holding out of stun is a cheap tactic you can use too and you can stagger escape from non crumple/faint stuns too

    Reason is your choosing a stage either consciencly or subconsciensly where your character has advantage or at the very least where you personally feel comfortable in. It creates artificial bias in a match when it should be unbiased as possible to create a more true match. It can irk people just as much as people that pick dojo all the time.

    I believe that if someone has a problem with you avoiding to choose a stage as random then they should choose their character as random too.

    If they only plan Gen Fu and have a go at me picking a stage with a random character, then there is a problem.
