    Why do some people like FF13? Lightening is meh because I have plenty of strong female roles to turn to that I think are better.

    Fang (I think that's her name) seemed like a good character but the game was too stale for me to even get to her narrative in the story. A game has 5 minutes to interest me or I will play another and that early game to me was one of the worst experiences I've ever had playing a Final Fantasy. It was painful almost.

    I liked the battle system and story. I liked 4/6 of the main characters and the game was beautiful.

    I have always enjoyed coffee, but now I've also learned to love coffee. It makes my heart sing when I am sad. It picks me up when I am down.

    You are not the only one. I am coffee addict myself. I've been trying to be nice and trim down on the caffeine recently, however... preferring steamed drinks (Apple Cider) and such from time to time.

    Chrono Trigger is a bummer... but I've always wanted to play Star Fox 2, and the game selection really isn't bad at all.

    It's a shame for the people that haven't played FF8. It represented a time when FF was really, REALLY good.

    FF8 is a PS1 game, and while the translation is rough it is far better than the previous games. However, there is no voice acting in that game so its all text. Even as a native speaker, it has some very challenging concepts to understand as far as story goes. That makes it a masterpiece, but also a nightmare for some people to follow towards the end.

    ^Shadow of Colossus remake was nice as well but it honestly took me a bit to realize it wasn't just another HD port like KH because the ps2 game still looks amazing to this day so it's not a huge difference

    Yeah, it wasn't terrible. I'm excited for the Shadow of the Colossus remake, Days Gone, Horizon DLC, and LocoRoco 2, but nothing blew me away. No Soul Calibur 6, no Bloodborne 2, stuff like that.

    Avoid the Puddle? Uh... how about avoid Tekken. "Why can't we all..." because the Tekken community is mean and they aren't worth our time.

    @Force_of_Nature isn't this pretty much the case for any fighting game that's not Street Fighter?

    Not necessarily. Tekken elitists tend to be more defensive than say, anime fighter fans. The thing with Tekken is that it plays fairly differently to the other 3D fighters with not having a guard button and the whole LP, RP, LK, RK attack command thing. The game is also considerably more complex than the average 2D fighter. This can turn off quite a bit of people from the game.

    I've learned to stay away. They have said some nasty things about DOA, especially that puddle of mud bald ass viking guy. The perfect depiction of that fanbase.

    The Limit Break system needs to be reworked and Aura needs to be removed. Omega Weapon is always a bitch unless you abuse Aura or Hero items.

    An alternate way around Omega's unique physical attack is using the Defend ability from Carbuncle. But there's nothing you can do about Light Pillar without Hero or Rinoa's Limit Break that makes characters invisible.

    Every FF has something you can exploit. FFVI was a great but the evasion bug haunted it for years and then it was fixed but was given a meh do over... or how about just farming Genji gloves. Battles last on average 5-10 seconds... FFVIII battles can take a lot longer than that. It's your choice whether or not you want to spam Junction Ultima from Shumi.

    Item sorting, ability swapping helps with my OCD.

    At large. To make things simple -- it's really not worth it. I've learned it doesn't matter if the person I'm opening up to is incredibly smart or flat -- the only person that is going to understand any of my complexities is myself.

    I spent a long time working on my confidence and became somewhat of a dick because of it, but at least thoughtful. I felt like the saying of you must first love yourself before someone can love you was a true statement. I'm not sure that it is anymore. Maybe it's the other way around.
