Well, I had to do it since no one made a discussion about it.
Star Fox Zero is supposed to be released for the Wii U next Friday. This is a discussion in which involves the latest installment of the game, as well as the past Star Fox titles (including the unreleased Star Fox 2).
The game is not a remake, nor a prequel to the first game (and series as well). The game will be bundled with a tower-defense game, Star Fox Guard.
Amiibo support is in the game. If you use the Fox Amiibo, you get to use the Retro Arwing from the first Star Fox game for the SNES. You can't lock on to enemies with the charge shot. But at least you get the classic songs from SNES (and 64 from what I'm hearing).
If you use the Falco Amiibo, you get to use the Black Arwing, in which you can lock up to two targets at once, but it is also a glass cannon. That means, you are gonna take three times the damage.
That's all for right now. If you have any questions, just ask. And now I'll leave it with this commercial...
