DOA6 will be released in early 2019, assuming that there will be no delays. A lot can happen between now and then. There are a few sides here:
1). Folks who believe that DOA6 staff are conspiring to appease a specific vocal minority (whom may or may actually play the game on any competent basis).
2). Folks in the FGC outside of DOA's group who are little too enthusiastic about the little news we have concerning sexualization, claiming that "DOA has grown up" or some nonsense like that (Which is a bogus statement in of itself for a number reasons. DOA was already a great fighting game series with a foundation of its own). They will say this despite the sexuality being highly present to wildly varying degrees in other fighting games they play. Insult to injury, the TN staff themselves outright state that the sexuality is not completely gone.
3). Folks who will obsessively play the game and present material exclusively for the sexual aspect of it.
There may be a few more bases and sides than just those I speak about above. Each group has the potential to act a little too obnoxious or overaggressive over the subject which eventually leads to exaggeration, overgeneralizations, and more potential misinformation. You will see these things on forums, social media, and in videos.
It may just be wise to see what else happens in the near future. Speculating and theory-fighting in our heads and then speaking about it on a strategic and on a more positive basis.
Hopefully, TN will also take into account player reception and thoughts regarding game play. A lot of good things happened in the announcement and showcasing of DOA6 too...
