@KasumiLover69 is correct. Don't double-post.
Star wars is in the decline after the Solo flop, Tomb Raider is nowhere near the cultural phenomena of the ps1 trilogy, and Mk just embraced 2d again, it wasn't making the characters ugly that brought them success. And are you really saying that removing the hero's journey and any kind of reasoning for her skill improvement was a good thing for any character? It's funny because all of the franchises you've mentioned have only become more successful after making these changes. You can't blame KT for wanting to get on the winning team.

Familiar, Oh really?Something about you seems familiar... But I agree, basically they need more casual stuff like they did in that DLC pack in Ulitmate. Swimwear is subjective since as DLC, it's an option and not mandatory.
Also be careful, since I don't think the mods like DPing... Also that Kendall Jenner outfit is very cute imo :-D albeit somewhat revealing still
Yeah like literally your typing pattern and the whole pic thing really reminds me of one of my friends, especially the part where you showed what you think Ayane would wearFamiliar, Oh really?
Yeh the Jenner outfit is really revealing, but it wouldn't be character breaking for Ayane. Because I always saw her as the edgy, more tomboy-ish counterpart to Kasumi. So the outfit was to show tha u can still maintain that personality, while still giving sex or "fan service", without it being a desperate bikini just to see jiggle physics.
If you're going to do fetish wear I think it should be left for the characters that actually fit it, like Christie. And maybe Tina.
Well i don't think ayane is a whole ass dyke, sure she has a feminine side but I feel like her fighting style and personality isn't too feminine. Her other primary costume also been a purple and black jumpsuit, and she doesn't have wavy long hair like most of the girls. She also defies the stereotype of young girls being boy crazy and suppresses her emotions towards hayate.Yeah like literally your typing pattern and the whole pic thing really reminds me of one of my friends, especially the part where you showed what you think Ayane would wear
I never saw ayane as a tomboy, I mean what tomboy would wear this as one of their primary outfits?

Fetish wear is fine as only dlc since its optional then, and I can't speak for the fitting part since almost all of the girls have worn overtly revealing default outfits at some point so wearing something revealing isn't like foreign ground to them

Kasumi's DOA 6 outfit reminds of Seth Rollins from DOA. They should take a note from Naruto as the women outfits there actually look like ninjas. Anyway, I love what you're saying as someone who likes Tina and Lisa. I wish the outfits fit more of the characters than just sexual for the sake of it. That is why I find Lisa and Tina to be so stylish. I love the wrestling gear both of them get. It shows me TN watches lots of Japanese and Mexican pro wrestling.I thought I'd chime in.
You can have sexy characters and costumes without it looking like a soft porn. My main issue is that so many characters where sexualised in a way tha didn't even make sense for their personality, especially Marie Rose who is basically a child, to put her in a playboy bunny outfit is pretty gross. It's the fact that every female is sexualised in the same way means that they lose their identity/uniqueness.
And even when they are desexualising it seems the characters are losing personality. The body suit Kasumi is wearing in the DOA6 reveal doesn't even suit her, it looks weird.
There was nothing wrong with her konoichi dress (which shows plenty of skin), and even the default cat suit she wears in DOA5 is awesome. So I know DOA is capable of amazing costume design, I just hope they scale back thongs and booty shorts.
And while I find ninjas fighting in swim suits really stupid, i think there is a better way to do it. Instead of to have them in nothing but bikinis, give them a hat or kimono, or jumper wrapped round the waist to give the characters some personality. Even if it's this
Subtle and sexy. It doesn't make sense for every single female to be in lingerie and bikini.
I can see ayane in this

Interesting take. but I don't find the way she embraces her femininity to be sexual which is significant. I feel like Ayane's relationship to femininity is more so a quirk that contrasts her very serious no-nonsense attitude. But when I look at the cutscenes I notice, in DOA4 Christie entices her prey on a stripping pole, and kills him during a private dance. In NG3 Ayane is approached by a soldier in her bathrobe. He is distracted by her body and attempts to disrobe her, for which she immediately kills him. But she never entertained him, she never flirted or actively used her sex appeal. So I feel like it wouldn't make sense for her to pander to horny men in her costumes, its not something she ever entertains.Huh?
Ayane embraces her femininity even harder than Kasumi does, the hell are you talking about?
She constantly has her handband fashioned with a bow in her hair, she adorns her kunais with spinning petals, her outfits constantly has her figure pretty obvious and even her casual outfits doesn't give her even a hint of acting more like one of the boys...
I'm...kind of confused by this. Her fighting style is very girly. With lots of spinning and flips, many kicks that show off her legs, and a throw similar to Kasumi's where she wraps her legs around the opponent's head, I'd say she definitely has one of the more feminine fighting styles in the series.I feel like her fighting style isn't too feminine.
In fact isn't she referred to as a butterfly at one point? Her styles basic attacks aren't so overtly feminine but her more over the top attacks are definitely. The most feminine styles imo are Marie Rose, Naotora, and I would say Kasumi as wellI'm...kind of confused by this. Her fighting style is very girly. If I were in their position and wanted to alter the direction slightly because of x/y/z reasons, and people came at me with "Your game is worth nothing without the boobs", I'd have a strong urge to just say "Bye, Felicia." I'd be hella insulted. Because...really? You're going to be that shallow about it? DOA isn't a "real" fighting game? What if they want it to be a "real" fighting game? Are they not allowed? People aren't even going to give the damn thing a chance? I hate to bring out the "you were never a real fan card" but...
I'm just sick of the knee-jerk bullshit that happens on the internet all the time. The devs specifically said that it's not like they're not removing all sex appeal from the game and still people are whining about burkas and SJWs and censorship and all sorts of nonsense. Can people just wait to see more before completely writing the game off? Can people reserve judgment a tad? I know it's too much to ask of the internet. But, it's so tiring. And it's all so ridiculous that any perceived inch of clothing coverage is a loss in some stupid war against "SJWs" and any inch of skin showing is a fuck you to "SJWs". How are people just so amped up about this stuff all the time? Like, damn.
I do love DOA. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t even join this forum, or play the game for 5 years. I don’t mind the girls wearing skimpy clothing and all, but the DOA community won’t grow that way. People won’t take it seriously because it’s a “titty fighter” to them. Most of the people who did join this community looks past it, but there are always some people who can’t look past it and don’t take it seriously. DOA6 might be a main stage tournament this time around because they focus more on fighting instead of fan service.
The DOAX series are made for fan service, Itagaki made that game so it caters to people like you (the perverts). I’m not calling the people who play it perverts, but most are. I personally love the X series but that’s because it’s a relaxing game that you don’t have to take seriously.
The DOA girls can be sexy without skimpy clothing, I mean look at Kokoro in her C1 she is really beautiful and sexy without wearing skimpy clothing. If tits and skimpy clothing are the only reasons you play this game and are a part of this community, then you should just leave and play some hentai games.
Also, I’m not a prude because I don’t like to see 18 year old girls in skimpy clothing in a fighting game. If I want to look at girls in skimpy clothing i’ll go to a strip club or watch porn.
I have no idea what people are talking about when they are whining about no sexualization in the game anymore... First of all Team Ninja did not actually say that they will ban any sexualization, they just don't want it as exaggerated as before...at least at first.
It's toned down but still there.
Anybody who complains about this sort of thing is just a reactionary and not a real fan of the series.
Well, that's the thing. If their goal was to break more into the esports scene, then yeah. They're going to go talk to the esports people.Another thing is when your an established franchise thats been doing these kind of stuff along with making tons of DLC years on end, but now wants to make a conscious decision to make the characters less sexualized (despite their life support was based around this) and wants to make people feel "proud of playing" (aka people from EVO17 that complained) do expect some fans not taking this too well. They're only power is complaining and not spend money (which money will effect profits). People can wait to see more, however these interviews of IGN (first article) & Famitsu are not making things better for people who don't like their new direction.
If I was in position of listen to opinions and was curious if people still had an interest with over top sex appeal, I wouldn't be going to EVO 2017 and listen to whoever said "it is embarrassing that girls are too sexy and play." and would use social media like twitter post something like this:

DLC incoming. lolMaybe encourage to show off their collection & DLC to filter outsiders, the ones that don't buy your stuff. For the members that would want something sexy (non sexualized manner) and sexual males I would still make content for them while still remaining with over top female designs. All they need to say is "Were still dedicated to ones that love sexual designs, but we'll also make some modest characters for the ones that prefer it."
You can't conflate the two. Censorship in gaming is rooted in conservatism. Which political party always has something negative to say about games when there is a mass shooting? And SJWs (if by that you mean leftists?), never even acknowledge perversion in Japanese entertainment, much less criticise it. You might want to take a second look, because this point of view is pretty delusional.Though from general consumer/casual fan point of view, It's clear as day censorship/SJW name your pick.
