Community Event Reminder: DOA5U Side Tournament at Evolution 2014

This upcoming Saturday the world's most prestigious fighting game tournament, the Evolution championship series, is taking place once again in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Evolution (EVO for short) is the largest fighting game tournament in the world. The event brings thousands of fans & competitors together for the sole purpose of enjoying the fighting game genre.

This is where DOA steps in and the community steps up. For the first time in nearly a decade, a tournament for Dead or Alive will be taking place at EVO. Although DOA is not apart of the main EVO lineup, there is a side-tournament being held inside EVO's tournament hall in the 'Bring Your Own Console' area. The purpose of this event is to make our presence as DOA players known at the biggest event of the year for the fighting game community (FGC). The underlying purpose of this event is to make a statement saying that the DOA community has what it takes to make our way into the main lineup for EVO someday. Just look at what we have been able to accomplish as a community at The Fall Classic last year.

The time has finally come.

 

oh wow have not being playing doa for a very long time, posting was put on a last minute notice. But I will think about this, anyways sounds great for doa players some exposure in the FGC at EVO!

 

whoops never mind so it was listed a lot earlier, sorry about that did not see the other listing form june.

 

so some stuff came up lastnight and Im not going to be able to make EVO
this year

 

If they wanted to put the game in the lineup, they would have. Don't believe the "strong community" bs. Street Fighter x Tekken was in before the game even was released yet the best example is Killer Instinct.

 

Will this be streamed? I would love to watch it!
