I've added Thurs and dropped Mondays' however I did receive a call from some Tekken players so I opened shop on Monday for them. Seems there is some secret tournament they are preparing for. On a side note they did garner some interest to the KOF matches I had with my friend. Also I'm now going with a theme on days of operation: "Thursday Night Throwdown" (All fighting games) "Frag Fridays" (System link titles COD, Gears, etc, cuz I have a lot of stuff) "Saturday Supercade" (Mix of games you'd find in an arcade DJ Hero, PGR, SF, Tekken, etc) "Sunday Sports" All sports titles including Madden, NBA2k etc, but I'm gonna have fun throwing DOAX (OG Xbox multi) and Rumble Roses, CUZ I CAN Muhahaha! Of course people can play whatever on open stations as I also encourage bringing in titles.
If you're gonna have Rumble Roses, you might as well add WWE All-Stars in as well. Seems like that would be a great game for casual BSing! lol
I've been meaning to pick that up actually! Putting it near a machine with NBA Jam running would bring back memories of WWF: The Arcade game!
You mean Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game? But yeah, having WWE All-Stars running right next to NBA Jam sounds PERFECT, considering that's basically the "NBA Jam" of wrestling games!
Just got back in after SATURDAY SUPERCADE! (I love saying that) Anyhoo, dug this game up for link play: And well these young kids today . . . ahh they're coming around LOL. Did get some good KOF matches in though.
I can't believe I just saw The Simpsons arcade game. I used to play that at the local Chuck E Cheese's when I was little. And Virtua On, dam I loved that game too. Never beat it but was so dam fun. You have a really nice set up there Gill. It looks great, I bet you get pretty good business.
I'm doing okay, but I know I'd do better somewhere closer to the city. But I have to make it here first, and the local FGC has been helpful with ideas. I'm thinking weeklys, streaming and memberships. FYI, the Simpsons and Virtual On are in the Live Marketplace too.
I'd love to do the same thing if there was any major interest in this area, but rochester is bullshit. lol
Gill Hustle's weekly update: Shout Outs to all the " New Challengers" that showed up @ Fight Night yesterday: Really glad to see so much interest in the wide variety of fighters (glad I picked up BlazBlue this week and got a chance to dust off GG: Accent Core) So this weekend will continue with the fun! As stated why stay at home to watch the stream when you can do it with like minded people?
Yep. I keep the Dreamcast inside the store, cuz everyone loves the DC. On fight nights I throw PS2 fighters in window to attract attention, it shows its age but DOA2 still looks good in the window. Also figured this should go here too:
