Nioh: Complete Edition is out on Steam

Team NINJA is providing us with a lot of great content. Not only do we have a full tournament at NEC 18, but the community now has access to an improved Ninja Gaiden Black on XBOX ONE X and now we have Nioh on PC which is mostly getting positive reviews from Steam. This is definitely the best way to play the game.

TECMO KOEI has shown a lot of interest in PC gaming and it has not only grown their fanbase but their pocketbooks as well. Since the PS4 version is still going for around $30, you might as well upgrade to the Steam version if you can. Not only will you get better visuals, but you will get the complete Nioh experience.

Depends on the person really. While the biggest difference is the lack of online modes (plural), outside of that the only real arguments that can be made are it's running DX9 instead of DX11 making it impossible to implement the "Soft Engine" (Sub Surface Scatter + Tessellation for more "realistic" breast bounce), lack of singular item costume DLC, and lack of Mouse support with full Keyboard rebinding support. You are able to run the game at higher resolutions, anti-aliasing, and shadows than the console versions though. Oh, and the lack of console input delay really shows on the PC. If only there were a lobby system then I'd play on PC version every day because the online is actually bearable.

For me, I don't consider it a bootleg port. Limited port? yes, for sure. but "bootleg"? meh...
Agreed... The lag online is much much better than on consoles. But I detest the fact that there are no lobbies. The game is a lazy port by default.

But the huge list of overpriced costumes sure were well-implemented..... Based on that fact alone I can't really say they have an interest in PC gaming. They have an interest in a quick PC cash grab.

So, in an odd twist of events, I'm actually here to talk about Nioh.

For some odd reason, the game ran horribly with a spotty framerate on low settings, and even refused to load certain stages (crashing the game on each attempt). So then I turned the settings up a bit and voila: it runs better than it does on my PS4. Fun.

Anyway, coming from someone who reviles KT's excuse for DOA5 on PC, I must say that Nioh's PC port is fully featured and functional. I'm still convinced that it's the best game released in the past decade, so if you still haven't given it a try, you're only punishing yourself.
