I am not sure if opening a thread here is the right thing for the given problem, so apologies if this might not be the case.
I noticed that I do not recieve any alerts from comments on media (videos) although I am "watching" them. They get silently listed in the "Unwatched media" overview when a new comment was added, though there has never been any notification under "Alerts".
This means as long as I do not take a look in the "Unwatched media" overview, I'd never recognize if there was any further comment or answer to it. Maybe it is supposed to be like this, however, in this case, the entry "Receive an alert when someone..." for media in the alert preferences wouldn't make much sense (which I have checked on).
I'm not sure if this only happens on media which I did not post by myself but commented on (which is where I noticed it). Notifications on threads or profile statuses work fine, though.
I am usually visiting the page with Chrome or sometimes IE11, although this shouldn't actually have something to do with it.
