I shared this in the Texture Tutorial thread but looks like no one caught on to it.

https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Normal_Map_Creation_in_The_GIMP

It is a free plugin that takes a texture and estimates a Normal Map for it. You may need this for some textures to hide certain things. It just makes it easier though it isn't perfect. It helped me out with the Bass championship belt mod.

The packer project is mostly Python based. I'm a C++ guy, but if I get the time to actually learn py, I'll contribute when I find something useful.

Resource for references. It's from DOA5U X360 build, but the framework is possibly the same, so it'll be a good reference when trying to find out exactly what you may want.

Something to play around with if you want to check for anything useful during run-time. There are other disassembles out there, but I'm using this one right now.

I'm not good with file decryption based code, but it looks like the app is small. I can understand some python as far as structure, but not enough to write something like that. I don't know what it does yet, since it didn't do anything when I ran it.

I'm not expecting much for differences in container code once I see the decrypted files.

Actually, reading through it thoroughly now made it clear what he's trying to do in terms of unpacking texture data and making a dds file. I might also check and see if it works later, but I'm guessing there's still a bit more left to do.
