Yeah they ruined Yoshi in T6. I used to play with him all the time before then. He seems a bit a better in TTT2.

Tekken newb question: Is it possible to go through a person's move set like in DOA where it confirms whether you've done a move correctly or not and then moves onto the next one? I couldn't find a setting and going through King's moveset was a pain. I spent more time in menus going from move to move than actually trying to get the moves down.

Not really. You can select a move to display at the top of the screen. If you actually execute it, you'll have to manually move on to the next.

You mean like VF4's string confirm and progression system (ting ting ting)? No unfortunately, because the Tekken 6 practice mode is horrible and there is no record function, though Harada has promised a decent practice mode and record function which made a lot of people happy. Honestly, when it comes to king, you'll just have to keep going back and forth or just sticky the string on screen and keep practising. I wish I could make it sound less painful, but there are really no painkillers when it comes to Tekken, though it tends to pay off in the end.
Though thankfully King has less headaches to deal with than in T5, especially when you're on the receiving side and have to think about 3 or 4 escapes, other than the regular 1 and 2 and some really silly buffers. Ever had to do a three button escape?

Six+ games in and no one thought to do that? Ugh...
Can I also say how much I hate the Western Tekken button notation? The Koreans made a Tekken 6 movelist app for the iPhone with frame data that's handy. It also uses the notation that every single other fighting game does with the number pad being the directions.

really hope they get it right with TTT2.
I blame VF for not catering to the casual market so that Namco could actually feel the pressure of competition for once. Seriously, Sega, step up your game. Seriously, if they just redo some of the animations from fucking VF2 and put in some new sounds and add more visual sparkle to their game, that could do so much.
