Where are the veterans¿

Back in the early DOA4 days I remember a lot of very good players who were constantly posting in DOA Central and playing online with me and now that DOA5 is just a month and a half away shouldn't we be looking for them¿ I remember for example some players named Slayer DNA, Shad and many others. I know XDest (Ayane player) is focusing on BlazBlue and with the "new" game announced yesterday we probably won't be seeing him. Perfect Legend has already stated he's coming back to DOA, same as Kayane (who wasn't really a veteran but a fan of the series who just moved to SC early on as far as I'm concerned) and maybe Black Mamba but many others are still missing. For example, where is the world is Offbeat Ninja¿

It's interesting you bring that up, Mike. I've kinda become a fan of Offbeat, after seeing him compete in some old tourneys on Youtube. I was hoping he was still active in the scene too. It sucks, though, since Ein is probably scrapped...I wonder if he'd main Hitomi.

Dead or Alive 5 has been added to the official games of Season's Beatings, so I think some players will be there.

That's because the people I mentioned are the only ones I know. I never participated in any DOA community in the DOA2, 3 and 2U days.

If he truly has given up on fighting games I'm gonna miss JustOwnin, he could be a troll at times but he always had me laughin! And of course Brady, I'm avidly into the MK scene so I still get a regular dose of the Brady magic, and I understand why he would choose not to come back. But it'll definitely be different without his presence.

Look forward to seeing some new blood though!

Shad is back, not on this site (also he's a DOA2 vet) though, but we've been going back and forth on facebook. I'm wondering if the rest of the old crew is coming back too though, Hale, Matos, Kobayashi, Hellshadow. I also hope Preheated Cigar, Angry Worm, Jack Schitt, and a couple others come back.

Side note; I'm both a real life veteran and a DOA veteran. Just Saiyan.

I think Jack Schitt is getting Doa5, along with me and Doug (FFKOTOR). Also, as far as I know, Hale fell off the face of this earth. Haven't heard about him since around Dead of Winter.

I figured Doug was gettin back in, I saw him a lot like 2 years ago on DOA4. I was curious about you too. Hale is just a whiny bitch, I'll give him a call sometime. I think I saw Combo Breaker say he was coming back too, and RyuJin and Demon... Looks like a lot of the oldies are coming back.

either way i can confirm,crackface, chadbest, paul trolly, rambro along with jack and of course myself of the former movement will all be returning. we may even get back to dealing out contracts and causing a ruckus just like back in the doa2u days WOOOOOO!

I remember her. I didn't even know she was supposed to be good until I beat her with my hands tied behind my back and a blindfold on. She said she was a part of PMS and I told her that didn't sound like any area of any kitchen I'd ever heard of.

Kasumi Chan is unlikely to be coming back to the scene.

Silent Legend and RyuJin will be back, playing the VF characters unless their DOA characters get buffed.

Angry Lobster still plays games, but I don't know if he's coming back for DOA5 or not.
