DOA5U Dealing with Brad's while-rising KK and lying OH by UprisingJC

Brad still has ways to capitalize off of WS KK but this is a good primer on knowing one's rights when throwing down against a seasoned Brad player. This is the kind of videos we need more of in the community. Mid holding when you know your opponent is going to throw that second kick is good but doesn't cover too many options outside of the mid kick. 7 -> 2T is a decent option select for an opponent who has a good read on you.
I'm not arguing either, I understand where you're coming from. I just want people to know these things about brad exist, and if I'm going to be frank, it's because this notion people have of an "unfair cheap game breaking brad" is simply archaic, it is inaccurate, it is ignorant. (I am not implying you specifically of course, but) this idea is surprisingly popular in the world of DOA, and it is based purely on the fact that just don't know what brads tools are. they should know, and I don't mind talking about it so...
Ah, what I meant in "No provocation is involved." refers to my words, BTW.
Fine, is it possible to show your description by a video?
I'd like to see your opinion by that if possible.

As for the moves you have mentioned, the only thing I have to worry about would be H+K as it's a low and the rest are either mids or highs that can't hit me if I hold 7 to get away after blocking WR K.

BTW, I'm just discussing things here. No provocation is involved.
I'm here to mention this to avoid any unnecessary argument.
his moves from lying stance do not lack reach LOL. 6 K reaches quite far. P+K and H+K have good reach as well . that's to say nothing of his reverse lying stance options, some of which reach almost halfway across the screen. the point in my previous comment was to simply state that, while you think you have concocted some end-all be-all way to escape WRK, you have not. & the point of this post now is to suggest that brad has more than enough options to deal with your defensive tactics... lol "backing away"... it's like trying to play a spacing game with an impending tsunami in a wooden stick hut on the beach front... good luck my friend lol
The point of the second solution is to press and hold 7 after blocking WR K.
If Brad goes for WR KK, it gets blocked and you can punish him with a throw.
If he free cancels and goes for the lying OH, it whiffs and you can punish him with a throw and it's hi counter.
Free canceling from lying stance? That doesn't matter as I keep backing away from him and there's not much he can do as most of his moves from the lying stance lack reach.

interesting & informative video. at the same time, this really only seems to prove that, like the rest of his move set, the success of brad wong's WRK is contingent upon mind games, i.e. the prediction of an opponent's reaction. he can free cancel into a few different things from lying stance in this situation. still, both kick strings are -10 on block... that's got to be helpful to someone out there...somewhere ;)
That kick of his is unpredictable though at times and once you're caught in it, you can't really escape it.
Nice video! I just counter the second kick string but i dont really see others doing it :(
