Top Tier Tips Guide: Session #2 NEUTRAL GAME

Thank you @KING JAIMY. These are great questions!

- Generally being in stance can still be considered neutral, however actually entering the stance requires frames so the person would need to enter the stance completely safe from punishment or any form of retaliation such as being outside the opponent's attack range.

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. Yes
4. Yes
5. Yes
6. Chances are this isn't a neutral situation since someone was backed into a corner, though if Player 2 positioned themselves by the hazard, it still can be neutral if neither player has physically got any offense or pressure started.
Nice stream and commentary once again, Force_of_Nature!

I skimmed through it for the most part and I can already say you did a good job explaining the neutral game. Now I actually have some specific questions regarding the definition of the neutral game. You said that both players are in a state where they have zero advantage over each other. But would the following situations count as neutral, despite the frame advantage being +0 for both players?:

1. Player 1 is in a stance, player 2 isn't.
2. Player 1 is back-turned, player 2 isn't.
3. Both players are in a stance or back-turned.
4. Player 1 is standing on the upper part of a slope, player 2 is standing on the lower part of the slope.
5. Player 1 is standing on a solid surface, player 2 is standing on a slippery surface (i.e. ice or water).
6. Player 1 is facing a wall/dangerzone, player 2 is with his back to a wall/dangerzone.

Sorry if this has been answered on your stream, as I didn't have enough time to watch the whole video yet.
