ngl, one reason why I took an interest in DOA was because it looked like the players weren't full of themselves when DOA5 released. There was no Tekken syndrome and it looked like everyone was level headed and objective. Ah, back when I was younger and still naive.
Anyone notice how "diversity" only goes in one direction? Wouldn't it be funny if we looked at, lets say, black media and see no Japanese or other races? Hahaha... that wouldn't be the case right? Surely their media will be the most diverse since everyone else needs to include them to be considered diverse.
How long does it take until a game is no longer considered a "copy" of another game and just becomes another game in the genre? Seeing people complain about Genshin "copying" mechanics while I'm here playing FGs that all have the same mechanics... Juggles, punishing, throwing, blocking, launching, fireballs, uppercuts...
Dark/ light skin anime character with a Japanese name wearing a yukata eating dango under cherry blossoms = a white or black person... Do Asian people do the same thing when they watch or read cartoon/animations/comics? Character speaks English, has an English name, wears RWB, does American things = Japanese person?
The most enjoyable thing about KOF15 is watching the KOF people say every other fighting game in existence is bad in one way or another just to prop up their game. It's so laughably sad and pathetic. I've never seen any community like that before... and I thought DOA was already delusional enough lmao.
Imagine if every time you had to stagger escape in DOA, an icon pops up on screen to tell you to stagger escape like in VF or GG. Then imagine how often it would appear in tournament matches. People really be doing QTE every few seconds in DOA lol.
When VF comes out, I wonder if the players will be like the Tekken players. "The game is the hardest most complicated fighter in existence because this one move is supposedly "hard" to do, you have to know frame data, and learn how to punish". Like none of that exists in any other fighting game...
