Yeah, the neon yellow they use for blonde hair looks awful, especially in direct comparison to more natural colors, but before we talk about better fitting hair colors, that low hair resolution bug(?) that's going on with some of the characters' hair since the most recent patch needs to be fixed. I see it's happening to Helena's loose hair on those photos too.
I honestly don't know if I want to go back to this ugly mess again after I got used to MK11's beauty. Already now I haven't touched DOA6 for over a week. :/

This last patch is interesting since they changed the way to load characters in Survival mode. Now there is a small loading screen that you can notice as a black flicker every time the game has to pull a new character. What's interesting is ... there's no longer frame drops with this method in PS4 Pro.

I don't have all other consoles so would be interesting to test it.

If they manage to avoid these black flickers it could be a step forward to bring TAG mode.

I checked the game out after the newest patch released (the only time I boot up the game) and all of the graphical flaws and outright errors that were there day one or that were introduced in later patches are still unchanged. Seems they aren't going to fix any of it. Coming from something as beautiful and polished as Mortal Kombat 11 to DOA6 is quite a rude awakening. Character models as well as stages in MK11 feel like a whole generation apart:

It's not just the tech, but also the artistry. The atmosphere in MK11 is so thick you can cut it with a knife.

Is evident that all the teams worked together in MK 11 meanwhile with DOA 6 ... modelers went for more realistic bodies (to some extent) meanwhile artitst opted for a strange mix of Anime shading and litghtning. We also have models like Diego and Jann lee in the same game, if you look at both characters hair it's pretty evident which one was prioritized.

At this point it's also evident that DOA 6 isn't finished and it won't be probably until the Ultimate or next gen version. If we look at Koei's fiscal year, they used DOA 6 to make up their profits.

There's a little hope though since Koei is doing worse in west and they are talking about to focus more in "quality" and "player satisfaction". Maybe, just maybe, they will be less jerk about their releases schedule.

Talking about beautiful and awesome looking games, DOA 6 should look like Dissidia NT at least. Hairs, stages, lightning, shaders, materials ... everything about that game looks so good in comparison with DOA 6.

Just look at Cornelia stage grass and environment:

Now Lost Paradise:

DOA 6 in comparison looks like one generation behind.

Speaking of graphical flaws, I've seen quit a bit of strange shit like this one for a example.

If you look closely you will see some sort of weird line on Mila's sleeve and that ugly shiny reflection.

............They still didn't fix the pixelated black smoke.......:(

My speculation for why Dissidia is significantly prettier than DOA: Square Enix paid Koei Tecmo significantly more money to develop Dissidia than what KT would ever invest in their own franchise, DOA6. So they pump most of their resources into Dissidia and DOA6 plays second or third fiddle. We saw in the DOA6 credits that most of the art/graphics was outsourced to a Vietnamese(?) studio, I guess KT's/TN's own artists are in the meantime working on Dissidia, Nioh2 and that Marvel game for Nintendo.
