I hope the Virtua Fighters return

Even if it means paying for them as part of a Season Pass. I just had an idea, as per a post by free step dodge website poll on twitter, maybe each season will include 2 guest fighters. So maybe one season will be Rachel and Momiji from Ninja Gaiden. Another season can be VF's Akira and Sarah.

Thoughts?

As long as its just 2(maybe Akira and Sarah) I wouldn't mind. 2 would be enough so we can get some new fighters and we won't have reused characters we've seen already like Mai

I agree with @KasumiLover -- if they come back leave it at just 1 or 2 so we can hopefully get at least one more new DOA character to the lifespan of DOA6.

Pretty confident that Rachel and Momiji are next in line, but I'm also missing my Fu and Leon. I didn't play much with Akira or Sarah, but they felt the most complete in comparison to Pai and Jacky, and 'JC Akira' took the character to new levels in Last Round. Not to mention VF seemed to garner a lot of interest from fighters outside of our community.

It's hard for me to picture Akira with the auto-combo. Nothing against Pai or Jacky; but Jacky is a much better experience in actual VF and Pai is just incredibly weak and easy to beat in DOA5. Akira and Sarah felt nearly perfect to me and tied into DOA beautifully.

Mai did this too bringing in KoF players to at least the casual aspects of DOA; having their favorite KoF character looking better in our game than her own game. While I think that Mai actually plays better and looks sexier than her DOA5 counterpart, I think many DOA5 Mai players are disappointed with her on DOA6s system. In my opinion she should have returned later to DOA6 and Season 1 should have been catch up for some missing DOA5 characters.

If there was another VF crossover I'd want different characters. Particularly Vanessa, Shun Di with his drinking mechanic intact, Goh, and Lei Fei. I'd love to have any 2 of those characters in DOA.

As a Pai main for VF and DOA, I do agree of Pai being weak, not to mention having so much little damage in her throws and holds. It made me mad that her throws in VF usually has good damage (Kuretsu Tendo, :2_::6::T:, being one of them) but here in DOA... I just facepalmed. What's even more disappointing that Pai had some crazy throws back in the day such as a DDT and a tackle throw before 4 Evolution and Team Ninja never brought them back (but brought back one move that was deleted after Vanilla VF5), yet Sarah received her OG throws such as her front suplex as holds. It is very sad to see that Pai was the original reversal queen in VF, before Aoi came along, but lost her title in DOA due to TN's ignorance or SEGA didn't want to involve more.

I really want to see a Dead or Alive vs Virtua Fighter Crossover with all Characters in it and as DLC Tekken and Street Fighter Characters =) So a Dream would come true =)

If we do indeed get VF chars back, they need to bring NEW ones imo (even tho i wouldn’t mind Jacky and Akira back xx)

And I have the perfect candidates for the two male slots

If we get a VF crossover (again ) I want fresh faces instead of constantly getting the same characters, so it doesn’t feel like another updated version of DOA5. Constantly having the same characters return from other series for the sake of people keeping their main that way is wack. I want TN to surprise us with a character from a series we don’t expect. Like Mai did back in DOA5. I think Goh Hinogami and Lei fei should join the cast because they bring something new. We never had a shoalin monk or Judo fighter in DOA so it would be nice to see them.

I stated before in another thread: Have Sega create VF6 first then, if we do the crossover, name it: Fighters Megamix 2!

@Derock Pai was actually incredibly strong in DOA5, in fact I find the character to be more potent than her VF counterpart. The only unfortunate situation was that not many people played her because character difficulty placement. You need to check out Codemaster or some of my past footages against some of the best players with her. All the weak damage was compensated for gaining guaranteeds, block checks, and stun loops out the wazoo.

I also like to see a VF6, though I feel the opposite needs to happen to make it happen. Gotta promote VFs in different games or formats more to get the actual game of VF6 to even get the idea noticed.

It would be cool to see them return but I also doubt it. The key members from SEGA's AM2 team that were in DOA5LR are not present in DOA6's credits since it's done by a newer team, so the likelihood of any of the character casts from VF returning is doubtful. And even then, they'd likely get replaced by another set of VF characters to keep it different.

Yeah, I did recall Pai was decent in Vanilla DOA5. Though I'm not sure why she was considered as difficult. As you said, she was the easiest to learn than Akira (less difficult but still, that 1-frame knee that I still til this day CAN'T perform) and Sarah (Flamingo and stepping stances) in the learning curve. In VF, she has the easiest commands out of the entire cast until Hakke-shou was added.

Though I wasn't talking about her strikes' damage earlier. I was talking about her throws and holds which was nerfed badly than her home series. Not to mention she has throws and reversals in the past that we hadn't seen in awhile that can rival Leifang in the holds department, but TN missed the opportunity.

As much as I loved the VF cast in DOA5, we're definitely going to need a new set of VF characters like Goh Jean Vanessa and Aoi or another 4 like that, so that people don't feel too cheated by the fact that we're paying for returning characters. TN most likely would want to make things different if it came to a guest DLC like VF. Especially if SP2 will most likely contain Momiji and Rachel, and we just had to pay for Mai in addition to TN making Phase 4 and Nyotengu paid DLC.

Highly doubt it though, but it's wishful thinking.

How much longer do we have to wait :(
VF6 was voted quite highly in that returning game poll, but if we see so much of an inkling of information on VF6 if it were to ever come - it would be like 2 years from now at the minimum.

VF6 would be the maddest fighting game out if they did it right.
